Fantastic fine dining experience. I would recommend making a reservation. The service was exceptional, as well as everything we ordered. The Irish onion soup is one of the best things I have ever eaten and I’m not even a soup person. We also enjoyed our entrees (salmon and New York strip). After eating here I can understand why this restaurant is so popular and busy all the time. If you have the opportunity to dine here you won’t regret it.

Lovely building and interior. Feels like you’re eating in someone’s library. Very cozy! I took my wife and my sister-in-law because I saw that you had a 4.7 Google rating. I was a bit disappointed in the food. The first dish that came was my sister-in-law’s Irish french onion soup which came out lukewarm and a bit salty. The white anchovy salad, however was very tasty, especially with the fresh anchovies. The bourguignon with the filet mignon tips was tasty and the tips were cooked to perfection. In my opinion the chef was a little heavy-handed with the butter so the result was a very heavy dish. The duck was cooked very nicely so my compliments to the chef. I’m only giving you 3 1/2 stars for the food which I believe is fair Overall for the money I don’t feel it was worth it. Had the food met my expectations I probably would have ordered drinks and dessert. My server Johnny was excellent!!

OVERPRICED / LOUD / BLAND FOOD. The greeter was genuinely friendly, and the server was nice, but pushy – the kind who interrupts the conversation, as they’re walking up to the table.
On this occasion (we’ve dined here over 30 times now), we sat downstairs, where the 1990’s smooth jazz music was blaring in our ears, as customers were talking at high levels. The music really needs to be turned down, and updated to something like modern classical or modern instrumental. The jazz music from over 3 decades ago dates the restaurant, making the place feel stodgy.
As always, the deviled eggs and carpaccio starters were tasty. The side and caesar salads were just ok with unripe tomatoes. The crab cake entree sucked – dry, bland and chewy. The rice and green beans were mediocre. The swordfish was good. And the bread pudding dessert was tasty.
While this restaurant remains Mount Dora’s premier fine dining institution, it’s also resting on its laurels, and needs to have better quality control regarding the food. The loud and dated music ruins the atmosphere.
As a professionally trained interior designer, I find the interiors very special, warm, cozy and even romantic. Although a bit dated, it’s at least well preserved. Just PLEASE work on the food and music. $240 for two people on a weeknight in Mount Dora is a lot of money for an unpleasant dining experience.

We came for our 10 year anniversary and we were absolutely blown away. Colby our waitress was very kind. This was some of the best food I have ever had. You feel at home with a warm ambiance. Eat dish we had felt it was made just for you with care. This is not one of those places where the food is expensive and you leave feeling like it was just fine. I don’t think I could fine something on the menu I wouldn’t like.

A phenomenal experience, with a marvelous and cozy patio area to eat in. It was a bit cold, but they did accommodate us as a walk in, so I think it was completely fair. Our server was attentive and explained everything in detail. The food was delicious as well, much better than anything I could have expected. We certainly want to return next time we’re in town!

Amazing place!!! We enjoyed our evening out so much at The Goblin Market, that we didn’t want to leave. The atmosphere is so charming, service was great, drinks and dishes so very tasty and desserts delicious. We can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I went to Goblin Market for our Anniversary dinner. We had only been here for lunch, and dinner exceeded our expectations! I had the NY Strip with roasted potatoes and broccolini!! My husband had their fish special which was yellowtail snapper with bokchoy and jasmine rice. Since it was our anniversary, they gave us a free dessert, and we had the flourless ganache chocolate cake. It was delicious!! I also had the Mustang Sally cocktail and it was the best drink I’ve ever had. Our server was Tony and he was great. The atmosphere is beautiful as well. It’s an old house, and every room is library themed. We can’t wait to go back.

Came in recently to enjoy lunch with a friend and my infant son. We were promptly greeted at the front and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. We had a stroller with us other wise we would have been immediately sat up stairs.
We started with some apps and drinks.
I had the Irish whiskey onion soup, my friend had the crab bisque and we split the ciabatta board, these were paired with the red red wine and my boyfriend’s back. Everything was delicious! Our server Victoria was kind, attentive, and patient while we picked out our mains. To be fair everything sounded appetizing so it was difficult to pick just one!
We landed on the toasted cheese and cashew chicken sandwich. Both very good and filling. We’ve made note to come back again and possibly try dinner.
Although this was a bit of a pricey lunch, the food, the service, and time was worth it. IMO

Atmosphere is wonderful. Food is very good and so is service but I do wish my food was hot. It was warm. Completely understand it’s a very busy time of year for restaurants .
