The Glen Haven Hotel dates back to 1800s when it was a resort and water-cure. Guests would travel from all over to be cured of their many ailments through methods involving the water from Skaneateles Lake. The resort burnt down circa 1930. The current Glen Haven Hotel was built in 1900 on the other side of the south end of the lake. It was originally a tea room, became a speakeasy during prohibition, and then became a tavern, officially taking the name Glen Haven Hotel in 1942. Today the Glen Haven houses a restaurant and tavern with locally sourced modern cuisine and drinks, a classic aesthetic, and a fun family-friendly vibe. With a large wrap-around deck overlooking the lake, the Glen Haven is still the place to cure whatever ails you.

What a lovely place with delish food (the salmon rocked our world!!!) and drinks (a perfect dirty martini!!!) and the kindest most hospitable staff! Wendy took such good care of us and we will most definitely be back! This place has the greatest vibe and is most definitely on the cool end of the lake!!! Don’t miss it! ❤️

The staff and location are both 100% why we would go back. The food was not terrible but it wasn’t particularly good. Our burgers had a weird fish flavor that we were told was how their grill tasted. We have never heard that before. The Cuban was not a Cuban but a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with pickles. The chicken wings were barely cooked and gave us the ick. It could have been what we ordered but the food wasn’t for us. The employees and the view – amazing. And when we brought up our issues they took care of it right away and were very kind about it. They were even so kind to our dog. We want to love this place but what we experienced was a hard sell to go again.

We love this spot. You can’t beat the location and friendly staff. The pizza is delicious and their fish sandwich is so crunchy and tasty. It’s our favorite place to do Trivia. Jen is such a good trivia host that makes it fun AND challenging. Love the additional clues through the music.

Freaking phenomenal! First time here and it impresses! I mean the location is second to none. Absolutely beautiful backdrop to a laid back but also upscale dining experience. Wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. Food is creative while being approachable. 11/10. Will be coming back!

The food here is soooo good. For an off beaten path restaurant the pasta, blue cheese, ranch, French fries, pumpkin pie all homemade and so good. The pizza and wings are some of the best I have had. Wings are crispy and oversized, sauces are so yummy. Everything about my first time going there was definitely 5 stars plus!! My server Wendy was awesome. Very attentive to my order to anything I needed and was very prompt.
Can’t wait to come back again and again and summer time is a MUST being that it’s next to Skaneateles Lake. They have a beautiful front deck that you can eat and drink and I’m sure the views will be picture perfect!!
They also have airbnb so if you’re looking for a place this is it!!

Great spot at the end of the lake. They have a new hot and cold dip each day with homemade pita. Highly recommend the homemade pasta as well! Beautiful lake views and I love it because I can bring my pup with me.

Wait time was over an hour to be sat for a party of 8, once seated the waitress let us know that they were out of almost half the menu at 1:30 on a Sunday. This would have been awesome to know BEFORE we waited over an hour to be sat, since most of us were there for the seafood.
Food all came out at separate times, by the time the first person was done eating, our last person hadn’t got their food.
The bison burger was straight up raw in the middle.
Really disappointed with Glenhaven especially since the family was there to celebrate a birthday.
I understand that places have off days, but considering the price of the menu we were all super disappointed.

Our first visit and we will be back. Our server Liv was excellent and what a great personality. Most servers tend not to engage but she did and made for an enjoyable experience. I had the hot chicken sandwich, my wife had the salmon sandwich. Great views of the lake from the deck.
