The Gin originally was created as a farm market, selling locally grown fruits & vegetables along with pickles, jams, jellies & goat milk candles & bath products. We sell North Carolina fraser Fir Christmas trees, wreaths & garland. We will continue selling Christmas Trees, but just recently dropped off the retail side of the business to make room to expand our bar and private party spaces. The Gin serves a casual bar style menu each day. At 5:00 our dinner menu is available. The Gin is a full service bar. The Gin is also a venue, we have several spaces for private parties & 7200 sq. ft. Warehouse that was originally built to store bales of cotton in the 1960’s renovated for private parties, receptions & weddings.

Attended a wedding here it was beautiful. Was a little hot inside the venue during ceremony but overall it was a lovely event.

What an awesome place for a wedding!! The atmosphere was so relaxing and comforting! Such a great addition to Geneva, AL. I met the owner, who was just the nicest lady! We had meatballs (I didn’t try, but I heard they were really good!), chicken with dipping sauces, sliders, pasta salad, mac & cheese (my absolute favorite, it was sooo cheesy)!

Atmosphere was very cool, laid back, great laughs and clean, service was great food was good a little shy on the spices but I prefer spicy so I’m not going to fault them on my preference. Very creative menu with a flare!
We’ll definitely be back!

The atmosphere is wonderful here with the live music and rustic interior with a warm fireplace.
Our server was spot on. She was pleasant and made sure everything arrived timely. The food is always delicious, as are the desserts and cocktails.
This is one of my favorite dining choices and is definitely a hidden gem located in Geneva, Al.

My family and I drove almost an hour from Dothan to try this place. We pulled up on a Saturday night and there was about 2 families in there so we should’ve known it was going to be bad. We drove mainly to try all the amazing looking appetizers this place is always posting on facebook and they didn’t have the boudin egg rolls or the crab stuffed mushrooms. The food was just ok, nothing special. This is place has no atmosphere whatsoever. Would not recommend. Not to mention it’s way overpriced for what it is.

This was the most tasteless place I’ve ever been. Everything is bland. I love collard greens and they were gross with my tasteless smoked pork loin. My wife’s burger was extremely crunchy because it was burnt. Service was also very very slow. We went for mid day lunch and only 2 other people were in there. Over hyped and won’t be going back. Update. We ate lunch on 10/13 and no we did not speak to a manager service was so slow we just wanted to leave.

I will never again dismiss the notion of small town fine dining. The modest facade and casual decor belies the opulence of the menu. While it could be considered a bit pricey for everyday dining, it is well worth the cost. I expected the typical fried pickles when we ordered our appetizer, but we were pleasantly surprised to see lightly battered wedges that were not greasy at all. Two of us had steak and the other two had a burger. My steak and sides were melt in your mouth delicious. After we enjoyed our meal we took time to browse the gift shop and bought a couple candles for a friend. If you’re in the area for a special occasion or you just want a nice dinner out, this should be your first choice.

The Gin is a gem. We frequent eat there. As a previous front of house, I appreciate the attention to detail, plating, and the kind staff. My husband made a reservation (not needed for every day dining) for our anniversary where we had a beautiful candle, tablecloth, and reserved wine waiting. I could not have asked for a tastier meal. We started with fried ravioli and crab stuffed mushrooms. For dinner we had shrimp and Gouda grits (amazing portion for the price) and the ribeye, cooked perfectly, with Brussels and mashed potatoes. I’ve been all over the US eating different foods, but the Gin is a special place for us.
