Food was fantastic. Steak sandwich and the loaded Mac and cheese stole the show. Never had a bad burger/sandwich. Will be back for sure. The best part of the experience was being able to buy beer from the adjoining beer store and drink it at the table while you enjoy your meal.

Good local spot in Brookline. Went for a late lunch with some friends on a Sunday. It was busy, but not too packed, and we were able to get a seat at the bar. They have a decent draft selection and a pretty big menu. I had the boneless wings with Carolina bbq and the scoop fries. The scoop fries are worth the few extra dollars if you like a more potato-y fry. My friend got one of the Mac and cheese entrees which she said was good. Reasonably priced. There is also a 6-pack shop connected to the restaurant if you wanted beer to-go.

Came for a bite to eat and wasn’t disappointed at all. Our Apps of brisket nachos & jerk chicken lettuce wraps were delicious. It was wing nite so we tried soy Thai, Nashville Hot, & Hot Garlic Parm. Yummy yummy. Finished off with a homemade dessert. We’ll definitely be back again

I lived in Brookline 15 yrs ago and this was our favorite local restaurant. They have changed some things up, but its still the Getaway!
The menu is small, but everything we had from it was wonderful. The French fries are fantastic!
The selection of draft beers leans heavily on the IPAs, which is fine if you like IPAs. I dont. They said it is a regularly rotating selection.

Give this place a try- seriously- the food, the prices, the drinks, the service, AND THE MUSIC were all perfection. Annie was spectacular, the food was top notch, and the Vegas Lemon Buzz cocktail comes with a szechuan flower bud!

This was our first visit and we’ll definitely be back – this has a more dive bar, Pittsburgh diner style feel to it. One side has bottles and cases of craft beer and the other side is the dining room, with an outdoor patio.
The Cuban egg rolls were really great. I got the Bleu cheese burger, which was good, but not great. They have a really nice tap list and cocktails.
Overall, probably not somewhere to go out of your way for, but solid food and drinks and a great local restaurant!

My husband had the Big Sky Burger and I had the Bleu Burger and both were done to perfection. The scoop fries with Cajun were amazing! Service was excellent and loved the multiple tv’s to watch the games!

Terrible bartender service. Got kicked out because she made a tequila sunrise and it tasted like super sweet Kool aid. When asked for a new drink she got an attitude dumped the drinks out and told us to leave.
