Food was fantastic. Steak sandwich and the loaded Mac and cheese stole the show. Never had a bad burger/sandwich. Will be back for sure. The best part of the experience was being able to buy beer from the adjoining beer store and drink it at the table while you enjoy your meal.

The team at The Getaway Bar & Grill did a wonderful job taking care of my family as we celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday today! They accommodated our 30+ group – gave us a whole section of tables, a fabulous Server who was very attentive, good food and made us feel very comfortable. Great vibe. Clean, chill. Good rock/popular music mostly that’s pretty universal seems to be playing every time I’m there. Reasonable prices drinks, good service and SKILLED bartenders if you want a mixed drink that requires some. Open Mondays (which is nice) and later than most bars around. HUGE 6 pack shop is plus too!

I love this neighborhood bar & grill. It’s super convenient to pick up a six pack or grab a tasty dinner. I particularly like the Texas fries and the black and blue burger, but everything I’ve tried on the menu is top quality. Cheers!

Great food! The blend of traditional with a spin was spot on. Fair priced and clean. Would definitely recommend. If you havent been here in awhile, you may make a trip and itll be worth it. BIG SKY burger for the win!

Give this place a try- seriously- the food, the prices, the drinks, the service, AND THE MUSIC were all perfection. Annie was spectacular, the food was top notch, and the Vegas Lemon Buzz cocktail comes with a szechuan flower bud!

This was our first visit and we’ll definitely be back – this has a more dive bar, Pittsburgh diner style feel to it. One side has bottles and cases of craft beer and the other side is the dining room, with an outdoor patio.

genuinely surprised this was next to my neighborhood, and i never stumbled in before. however once i did i sure was impressed. lovely staff greeted us and they had nice specials. food we ordered was great.

The Getaway is a hidden gem! Just down the road from Brookline Blvd, this bar and restaurant is great. The food is amazing, and they even have a convenient beer distributor, so you can grab drinks to go!
