It goes without saying the interior is absolutely stunning. The colors, the furniture, art just blends so well together.
The quality of the decor is only matched by the food. Everything was fresh, seasoned and delicious. Would recommend the Dungeness crab omlette or the salmon lox for a lighter meal. There is plenty of meat incorporated in each dish so you don’t feel skipped out on. For kids, I think the best wasn’t the pancakes but the fresh vanilla yogurt and berries.
The service was excellent as well. Each team member was in sync making sure our drinks were always full and refreshed. They would often check in to ensure everything was up to their standards and I appreciate that greatly.
Will certainly be back, hopefully for dinner next time.
This is a special spot for a high-end brunch or breakfast—refined without feeling stuffy. The service was solid and attentive throughout, and the smash burger was excellent, perfectly executed and packed with flavor.
The décor is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating an elevated, timeless atmosphere that matches the grandeur of the hotel itself.
A must-visit for a special occasion or celebration, or anytime you want a polished, memorable dining experience in Seattle.
This review has been long overdue, but it’s finally time to sing the praises of my favorite restaurant in Seattle — George, located in the elegant Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Every visit here reminds me why this place stands out as one of the city’s finest dining experiences.
The atmosphere is warm, bright, and inviting, striking that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Whether you’re there for a special occasion or a casual evening out, the ambiance makes you feel instantly welcome.
The service deserves special mention — friendly, fast, and efficient. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and every interaction feels genuinely warm.
Now, onto the food, which is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. We started with the Organic Skagit Sourdough Loaf served with thyme whipped butter and Maldon sea salt — warm, soft, and the perfect start to the meal. The Burrata Salad was wonderfully fresh and flavorful. The Warm Dungeness Crab Dip with artichoke, crab claws, and garlic breadcrumbs was rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful. The Spanish Octopus was good but could have been slightly better in texture. However, the Scallops more than made up for it — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor.
The desserts were nothing short of exceptional. The Chocolate Fudge Cake was indulgent, the Pumpkin Panna Cotta was smooth and beautifully spiced, and the Chocolate Dome with Cherry Cordial was as stunning as it was delicious.
Overall, George delivers a near-perfect dining experience — exquisite food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a refined yet approachable meal in the heart of Seattle.
Unfortunately, the experience was not what was promoted. When we arrived, there was only a single rose on the table instead of “ exquisitely adorned with fresh florals” and there was no live music. Service was also slow, and each dish took a while to arrive after every course.
I asked our server about the live music, but he didn’t have an answer. I then spoke with the manager, who told me the musician had canceled last minute. I understand things happen, but I believe guests should have been notified ahead of time, especially when live music was part of the advertised experience.
That said, the food was good, and the restaurant is beautiful. The quality of the food is the main reason I’m giving 3 stars. However, the portions were very small, and for the price, the overall Valentine’s experience did not feel worth it.
We were looked after by Thomasina, who was absolutely wonderful and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place.
