Got the turkey bacon avocado panini with a chai and it was so good. The panini was pressed perfectly — crispy outside, warm and melty inside, and actually flavorful. The side salad was fresh and balanced, not just something thrown on the plate to fill space.
The space itself? Gorgeous. Tons of natural light from the windows, plants everywhere, and this luxe but still down-to-earth vibe. It feels elevated without trying too hard. Plenty of room to sit and just exist for a minute.
The employees were super friendly too. Overall just a really solid, comfortable spot that feels a little special without being over the top. I’ll definitely be back.

These were the best lattes, hands-down. I had a coconut cream, which the barista highly recommended and I’m so glad I stepped out of my little box and tried it, so delicious! My hubby tried a Cinnabon latte, which was equally delicious. The banana bread was to die for. What a wonderful find! Very friendly and kind baristas.

This is an absolutely darling coffee shop in Kirksville. There is plenty of space for large groups snd cozy nooks for individuals or small parties. More importantly, they have delicious crepes, lovely coffee, and fun drink combos made with house made syrups!

Really, this is one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to! The ambiance and service are lovely, but the drinks are almost all stellar (not a fan of the revivers). Matcha and iced lattes/breves are spot on! The only downside is that drink consistency between baristas lacks quite a bit, but the ingredients are obviously quality and that helps. And prices are definitely on the cheap side, a surprise since they really do have great drinks!

A cheerful but quiet place to work. Allows a person to focus. The chicken salad on a croissant is very nice. The tea is real tea, not from a powder. I saw others also studying and some were catching up with friends. Great place to come for lunch.

Found this beautiful local owned coffee shop in Kirksville Mo this morning. I would highly recommend as a coffee critic. Their set up is very aesthetically pleasing, and they have really good coffee and customer service. They opened last Fall, look up The Gathering Grounds in the northern part of Kirksville. Also a big bonus point. I came in this morning and again at lunch and the barista taking the orders remembered my name!! She is the kind of customer service employee that every employer wants!

I’m so glad this place is part of our town, and I really hope it sticks around even after the standalone Starbucks opens. The interior atmosphere is fantastic—bright, open, and contemporary. They offer a nice selection of light food, pastries, salads, paninis, and treats alongside the usual coffee drinks, plus some healthy smoothies.
Pro tip: skip the breakfast sandwiches—they’re just premade and reheated (not great and a real black-eye on an otherwise solid menu). The paninis and crepes, however, are much better and made fresh.
The downside is that there’s only one person taking orders, so it can take a while to get your food or drink when it’s busy. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars out of 5.
This part is more of a meta critique. The food service and drink service are on opposite sides down the middle of the interior. That is odd. It creates a disjointed customer experience if you order both food and drink. You have to walk from one end to the other to get your order no mater where you park yourself to wait.
However, I will make this place a regular stop.

On several occasions I’ve visited, food allergies haven’t been taken serious. Some employees (I think the owner even) have given serious attitude about food errors involving allergies. I don’t feel super safe going back, which is a shame cause some of their stuff is good.
Obviously I’ve had good interactions with employees, and I don’t want to discount their hard work—but it’s been too many times that myself and others have had issues.
That aside, since opening, their prices have continued to jump up up up. The cost of milk replacements in drinks is also painful.
Overall, a decent coffee shop, but not super allergy friendly/safe.
