We ordered tender lamb and vegetable dish. We wanted to send a plate back and cancel the second plate but our server wouldn’t let us do that. They ran out of a lot of vegetables, our food did not look like the pictures. We were not given hot water/tea like other tables. Total $48.20

Met with an old friend and colleague here. He knows Chinatown well. We had the best lunch with impeccable service. I recommend the short ribs, the spicy chicken , the sweet red pork, the pan fried noodles w beef + tomato and the mabo tofu. Nice hot tea and rice. Great environment for a long lunch and a nice chat.

Large group, fasting so couldnt eat meat. Service very understanding and helpful. Was starving. Was hungry. Food came. Was beautiful. In each particular molecule of each dish I could taste passion and expertise, dedication and years of refinement. Servers very nice, atmosphere very nice, experience was revolutionary and changed my life. Would highly recommend tofu. The tofu was springy like a rabbit, as flowing as a river, and as silky as the Silk Road. The river of Acheron made me forget the hunger and starvation that panged within my stomach just moments before. Fried rice was beautiful, well seasoned and egg made to perfection. Yummy 67/10.

Basically had a transcendental experience here. Best part of my trip! They don’t have Chinese food like this in the Netherlands. Also very nice waiting staff, great service, small waiting times, excellent atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

I loved the food and the service. One of our dishes was the pan fried vermicelli that was so crispy and the filling within was tasty. Too bad I can’t remember the name of this dish. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The portions were very good. Definitely would come back again.

We decided to stop here after walking around a bit. I am glad we did!
I ordered Kung Pao Chicken which was very tasty! My wife ordered Beef Mongolian. She liked it but said some meat was a little rubbery. We also ordered crab rangoon but they came out fairly cold and after our meal, instead of an appetizer. Not sure why but explains the temperature.
The staff was great but did have to remind them to get water and then refills. I am not sure they are used to people drinking so much water. But they attended well and were nice.
They also gave us some delicious soup on the house and some tea. Overall it was a good lunch for under $50.

Our Chinese-American tour bus driver recommended The Garden Restaurant. We weren’t disappointed.
There’s an option to eat “family style” or order individual plates. We opted for the individual plates. Each came with soup, an egg roll, and steamed rice (with an option to upgrade to fried rice or brown rice for $2 extra).
The egg rolls came first and were good.
The soup of the day was egg drop. I didn’t really like it (taste, texture, or smell), but I’m not an egg drop soup fan in general.
I ordered the Mongolian Beef. It was very tasty, but a little too spicy for my sensitive stomach, so hubby traded with me.
Hubby had ordered the Twice Cooked Pork Belly. So delicious! This was my favorite dish.
I think this might be the most authentic Chinese restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Very much recommended.
