Sat at a table full of dirty dishes, it happens. Waitress did clean and brought drinks and menus. Left and never returned for half hour. Finally came, apologized and took our order. Salads came missing some dressing. Then sat for a hour before our two burgers arrived missing fries. Another five minutes for fries. Watched others come in eat and leave. If you’re looking for a good dining experience with a menu that has more than burgers and sandwiches this is not the place.

GARDEN GATE never disappoints! From home decor to gifts to coffee, sweets, drinks & unique fantastic tasty hors d’oeuvres all in a cozy welcoming atmosphere top notch & well done always. This is more a specialty place then a restaurant.

Wow is all I can say! We just happened to be passing through and I am so grateful we were able to stop here. The food was absolutely amazing. I was craving a turkey sandwich and they delivered!
Love the vibe of the store and the owners were so sweet. Highly recommend!

Traveling on a trip from Alaska to MI, my husband needed coffee to stay awake. So I googled “coffee near me” and it brought up this delightful shop in Carrington ND. We were pulling a trailer and there was plenty of parking for us on Main St.
Husband got coffee, I got raspberry ice tea and we each got a yummy pastry. Delightful lady helped us and was training a new employee. I also found in the gift shop two religious magnets A delightful find!!

Originally from this small town i had heard about this place. Finally went there for lunch and can’t stop telling my family about the quality of food and the decor. The new addition is just outstanding and would be something I would see in bigger cities (Minneapolis, Phoenix, Fargo…). Although this addition is not quite finished, i look forward to my future returns to enjoy this gem (craft beers, cocktails, and vino). I have read the reviews and find anything less than a 5 star review to be unfounded (not having a cardboard sleeve,… please!) Staff is friendly, helpful and just great.

You will be surprised to find the Garden Gate in the small town of Carrington. The food is delicious. The decor is warm and inviting. The pizza is substantial and the paninis were spot on. You won’t be disappointed with your meal.

This is a very quaint little spot to enjoy coffee and a light meal. They also have pastries. We enjoyed it both times we visited. The staff was very willing to talk about the history of Carrington and the buildings that they were in. Enjoyed this very much.

Always great coffee. Absolutely love the gift shop side. They put a lot of thought into the displays. I enjoy coming here first on my trips to town.

Having lived in big cities most of my life, I find the lack of reviews a little intimidating. Therefore, I thought I would begin reviewing places I go in this small town and possibly help out of towners in some small way. This place has a great latte. I have been twice now and both times they were fantastic. The only thing I can think to improve upon is to provide cozi’s for around the hot cup. My hand was burning holding it and I looked around a little, but did not find one. I could be they are hiding somewhere, or they could have been out. They offer lunches that sound great. I am always there too early to try a salad or sandwich. One of these days I will get over there later and let you all know how it is. The lady that has been there helping both times is very nice and was very thoughtful to make my three year old son’s hot cocoa…not so hot. She was also very patient with him as he handed her the money and asked all kind of questions. LOVE that!
