Great little gem here – fresh, hot food with great menu choices for everyone. Quick, friendly service. Atmosphere – lovely place decorated with charm, they just crammed too many tables in there so it was almost too loud for a relaxing conversation. Also, check their hours – a little off typical restaurant hours.

My first visit here and I love this place. As soon as you walk in you can feel the ambiance and coziness. I ordered the Greek Chicken Tzatziki Salad and it was absolutely delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The staff was very attentive and friendly too.

Hidden gem!! We were passing through from SanAntonio to Houston and stopped for a quick bite which turned into awe and plans to return in the future. This place has so much charm and character, farm to table food selections, an incredible wine list with Caymus included, a garden, shops, in house whipped cream to die for, staff that does not show a wink of stress and exudes hospitality at its finest!!! I have been told this started as a gardening center with plants galore and they added the cafe only 3 years ago. Now there is a future location opening in Round Top. Please say hi to the property cat named Cricket that roams free.

Absolutely delicious stop on the way to and From Austin/San Antonio on I10. The food was amazing, and the portions were perfect. We (including the kids) loved the pizza, Korean mini street tacos, asian salad, cheesecake and banana pudding. We will be back!

This is a G.E.M. of a spot in Schulenberg! Not only is the food amazing, but loved the atmosphere and aesthetics in a quaint modern farmhouse style old house with eclectic chairs, fresh flowers on the table and a view of the nursery. Hubby loved the Farmer Fred Kobe burger with fried egg, ham, and bacon. I was super impressed with my Grilled Chicken Taziki Salad (moistest, most flavorful chicken ever!) Hubby got the popular Pecan Bread pudding that was the best he’s ever had! Also, service was wonderful and we enjoyed the nursery and gift shop. So glad we decided to have lunch here while driving through Schulenberg!

Great spot for lunch while visiting the painted churches. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts! We ate them so fast I didn’t get a picture. Cute plant nursery to browse before you go.

The location and building was lovely. The service was very indifferent – not overly friendly but not rude either. It seemed like the kind of place where the service should reflect small town charm and should be really warm and welcoming, but it wasn’t. Out of everything we ordered, the brussel sprouts were the best. They were fantastic. The margarita pizzas were pretty good, the grilled cheese was tasty (however with the number of cheeses I did expect there would be a thicker and more gooey amount of cheese like some other gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches we’ve had though), and the chicken fried steak sandwich was also ok. We wouldn’t hurry back, but might stop again sometime to try something else.

Had lunch today, which was our second visit. First time was back in 2018 when we were out on a day trip looking at the local painted churches. Both visits were outstanding, and the high review ratings are well-earned. Yes, the Brussel sprouts appetizer is totally worth it, even if you don’t think you like such a thing. I had the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with an outstanding chutney and Dijon mustard to go with it. My wife had the fish tacos, which were awesome and extremely filling. The Mexican street fries that came with them had an awesome spice mix on them. Last quality test: The ice tea. In our experience, you can often tell whether a place is going to be good just based on its tea. This cafe has outstanding, strong ice tea. Bonus! Cool venue, excellent food, and great service across the board. Highly recommended.
