Amazing spot with a casual, rustic vibe—especially cool knowing it was converted from a former mechanic’s garage. The food is excellent across the board, and the beer list is massive. The smash burger is impeccable and pairs perfectly with the house chips (though you should absolutely upgrade to the garlic truffle fries—they’re worth it).
The steak and cheese is a bit overrated in my opinion, but still solid. That said, the real showstopper is the Garage Hawaiian pizza. The bulgogi with sriracha honey adds incredible Asian-fusion notes and completely elevates the dish. Genuinely one of the best haunts in Frederick—this place should be on everyone’s list

My hubby and I went Valentine’s/ his birthday. The food was delicious. I rarely order chicken. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It was Amazing. The parm truffle fries were the best we’ve had. He got the cheese steak. The homemade chips were great. We ordered a pizza to bring home for later. That also was amazing!

Was in the area and decided to swing by The Garage in Frederick for a cheesesteak — no call ahead, just walked in. Didn’t wait long at all, which was clutch. Bread was fresh, steak was cooked right, and it wasn’t overloaded or greasy… just solid all the way through.
Sometimes you just need a good cheesesteak, no drama — they nailed it. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m nearby.

Good food and excellent service.
One small note for colder months… If it is cold outside, be prepared for it to be chilly inside the service area. There is a noticeable draft when the doors are opening and closing, and during our visit in mid January most people kept their coats on. This likely would not be an issue at all in warmer weather.
Overall, a great spot with solid food and a friendly staff. Will definitely be returning soon!

Cool little bar and restaurant. Food was great especially the home cut chips with their spin on ranch dressing. Rueben sandwich hit the spot. My friend got the loaded tots and lived them. Unique with feta, bacon and pickled something on it.
Nice draft beer selection and two large screen tvs showing the big games. Service was great but Fri/Sat expect a wait.

We went back for the second time the food was incredible and the service was much better this time. The loaded tots are delicious and the pizza was really good as well, I just wished it was a little more done this time. But let me tell you what the best part of our dinner was….. The smash burger was absolutely amazing. I have been looking for a good burger for a long time and I finally found it. Give the burger a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed! All the food comes out hot and fresh and you can really taste the fresh ingredients. This will be our weekly Friday spot!

What an amazing find! We were visiting family in the area and realized they had been driving past The Garage for years without ever stopping in,big mistake, because this place is fantastic.
We ordered a mix of dishes, pizza, cheesesteak, Reuben, salt & vinegar fries, and buffalo wings, and every single item impressed. The pizza was hot, crisp, and loaded with flavorful toppings and perfectly melted cheese. The Reuben was moist, flavorful, and almost on par with Katz’s in NYC (which is saying something!). The fries were crispy, hot, and full of seasoning. The wings were another standout—crispy with a vibrant sauce and topped with fresh green onions, a nice touch that elevated the presentation and flavor.
The service was top-notch. Special thanks to Nick, our primary server, who was fantastic, but honestly the entire staff worked as one team to ensure we had a great dining experience. Everyone was friendly, efficient, and welcoming.
We’ll definitely be back on future family visits to Frederick. The Garage is worth discovering and one we’re glad we finally stopped in for!

I’ve heard a lot about this place and decided to check it out last night after a brewery.
The food all came out super hot and fresh and in short time. Excellent beer fridge and selection as well.
The sandwich entrees were well executed and the people who ordered them liked them (buddy ordered the cheesesteak, I got the Ruben). No complaints except the barbecue chicken wings, very bad showing. Over fried hard and the sauce was lacking. Not in quantity but in flavor and depth.
I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. It was very unique. Had outdoor seating as well as indoor and a bar area. Dog friendly as well

Lunch at The Garage was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The ambiance is modern, relaxed, and welcoming—perfect for a casual meal or a laid-back hangout.
We kicked things off with the Sriracha Honey Wings, and they were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy. For our main course, we had the Steak and Cheese subs, and they were spot on. The steak was tender and well-seasoned, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the crusty roll was fresh and delicious—it held everything together beautifully and added that extra texture that takes a good sub to the next level.
Service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. Food came out hot, fresh, and fast.
