The food was good. There were 9 people working but no one ever checked back for more drinks or desert. The girls spent most of the time on their phones and talking amongst themselves up front. I would of ordered another beer and the Mrs. wanted more Tea. I had to go up to get the ticket so we could leave. Used to have great service.

In town for the SAT, we needed a place to grab a bite and linger for a couple hours. After looking at reviews online, we stopped at The Gallery Diner. We were greeted at the door by two employees (obviously training a new waitress, although that was not explained to us. I just assume) they seated us and introduced themselves. The wait staff was patient while we looked at the menu. The restaurant was clean and quiet during our morning visit. Our meals came quickly however my meal was not hot. I had bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and breakfast potatoes. My husband had sausage gravy over biscuits. I should have read more reviews because this was mentioned in several. We did not send our plates back. The food was okay. Nothing special for the price. On a positive note the coffee was excellent and hot! The wait staff was polite and efficient. I don’t know that I’ll ever encounter being in the area again but sadly if I do I would not be returning.

First time eating at The Galley. The restaurant has been remodeled and is very appealing on the inside. Roomy seating and clean. I was promptly seated and I asked for a little more time to make a decision, but it was a while before the server returned for my order. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and a salad. I would not recommend the meatloaf. It was dry and very bland. They need to change that recipe. The salad was fresh and nice size. For the price, the amount of food was good. There are other options on the menu I would like to try so I’ll probably go back.

I go here quite often for lunch during my lunch break, and they never fail to make it the best experience. The quick service allows me to be in and out. I am never concerned about being late back to work. The food is always absolutely delicious. The workers are always so nice and quick on refills and asking if you need anything.

After a recommendation from friends we stopped in for breakfast this morning for the first time. The staff was very pleasant and made sure to check in. It was such a welcoming atmosphere and the interior design was beautiful! We received our food very quickly and it was so delicious!! This is a diner I see our family visiting more often!

Was traveling thru & asked locals where they eat, The Galley was their recommendation. I had a Fish Wrap, the wife had Roast Beef Sandwich and we split a bowl of Cream of Turkey soup. All of it was good the soup was best (never had it before). Waitress was young and learning, but the older one was helping teach her. Would go often except it’s 5 hours from home. If I’m in the area it will be a stop.

My husband and I live in Stuarts Draft but had to take our grandsons to work in Harrisonburg. We found this place on line and decided to get breakfast there once we dropped off the grandsons. The diner was very clean, with good lighting and the atmosphere welcoming. Our food was very good and reasonably priced. My husband had a ham omelette and I had pancakes. The food and coffee were hot and brought out to the table quickly. The waitress was nice and friendly. Will definitely come again.
