Inside is really nice. It has a sports bar feel. Lots of TVs and pretty loud. All of our food was good. (Not great not bad) A couple of us requested some substitutions and they were missed. The service was very slow. My kids even commented on how long it took for them to take our order and then bring our food. We had to get a to go box ourselves.
Will go again in hopes of better service next time.
⭐We’ve gone again, the service was again awful and slow. We went on Wine Down Wednesday, the servers didn’t know what the specials were, and even the manager was confused. They did offer wine tastings. The music was way too loud and didn’t match the vibe of a wine might.
This place has great potential but they have to figure it how to make things run smoothly. Very unimpressed
THE GOOD:
The decor and atmosphere is pretty cool. Many TV screens showing sports and the bar area looked fun. We sat in a booth that had its own TV and the waitress was able to change the channel for what we wanted to watch (the WNBA game). The staff was friendly and attentive.
THE BAD:
The menu prices were a little high. We spent around $75 for mediocre food and 2 beers for a party of four WITHOUT appetizers and NOT including the tip, so $90 with a tip as we had a friendly, attentive waitress.
THE FOOD:
We ordered 3 plates of Fish and Chips and 1 plate of the Reuben Sandwich. They all came with fries. The fish was pretty good, but the fries were lukewarm and my Reuben Sandwich was too overloaded with sauerkraut and not enough meat. They have a good selection of beer, cocktails and wine. We saw a poster for “Wine Down Wednesdays”, which looks cool because it’s happy hour on wine, I think 5pm-8pm. I’d definitely go back for another try.
Hopefully they can iron out the kinks soon as our experience was atrocious putting it mildly.
First, we were given 2 different menus, one with much less selection than the other. Apparently one was an older one as we were told “they change the menu all the time”.
We ordered the brussels sprouts and the Sundevil eggs as appetizers. The Brussel sprouts came out under cooked and under seasoned with minimal balsamic drizzle. The server overheard us discussing them, and promptly took them back to have them remade. The sun devil eggs were average at best, nothing spectacular there. Upon arrival of the freshly made brussels sprouts, this time done by the kitchen manager, The seasoning was better but the brussels sprouts were still underwhelming. I literally had two bites of them and never touched him again.
For our entrées we ordered two kids chicken strip meal‘s with fries, Carne Asada tacos and the Italian sandwich with fries.
The kids meals came out fine. The Carne Asada came out and was clearly not Carne Asada. A gentleman came from the back with the same plate stating it was their Carne Asada however working in the restaurant industry that is not the correct meat to be used for Carne Asada it’s typically a flank steak or something close to it which was not what we were served. They claimed it’s because it’s so tender that’s how they chop it up however the appropriate meat for Carne Asada does not shred in that fashion.
We were offered to send the tacos back so we did and ordered the barbecue pizza. After quite some time we received the pizza and it was decent. Regarding the Italian sandwich the sandwich was actually pretty tasty however I ordered fries and received onion rings. Once we told the server of this she promptly brought out fresh made french fries that were also very overcooked. They were not the same texture or even close to as good as the fries they served the children.
There was an older gentleman walking around who kept saying he was the owner, he was sitting at a table with several what appeared to be managers. Across the restaurant there was more family to which the people were communicating back-and-forth with us sitting in the middle of all of this and grandchildren running around the restaurant. The grandchildren running around was very cute the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time however started to get a bit busier as we continued to wait for our food to either be correct or taste somewhat palatable.
It appeared as if there was only one server and at no time did I see any of the several staffers get up or offer any kind of assistance to anyone really to help out other than the owner shouting across the room to see if a particular table had been helped.
I was absolutely dumbfounded that at no time with so much leadership in the building did anyone ask any of the tables any questions regarding their experience especially in a supposedly new budding restaurant.
At the minimum if I had as many errors as we did at the table I was sitting at, I would’ve expected someone to come up and at least acknowledge the fact that we had been there twice as long as we should’ve been with two young children with us due to the errors of the establishment.
We were charged for everything with the exception of the two items we sent back however the brussels sprout were still untouched and due to the copious amount of errors I would’ve at the minimum expected some sort of discount or at least acknowledgment of what had occurred.
As we were exiting this most unpleasurable experience the owner sitting in a seat full of staff shouted “hey how was that barbecue pizza?” To which the response was “it was okay”. No further questions seemingly no real care for anyone’s true opinion.
I don’t recall the last time I’ve spent over $70 in a restaurant and walked out so disappointed.
We will not return.
Insult to injury the burger I ordered to go was raw and so was the remake of the one that I had gotten before.
I have been in the restaurant industry 23 years, and have never had such poor quality of service and food all the way around.
Servers will not make eye contact the avoid tables. They even avoid guest that walk up to their computer stations.
Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. They don’t care. They assume prime location is an excuse for lack of quality.
