I’m not big on chains. But this place is awesome. The service and workers were on point. The atmosphere is casual. The desserts? Amazing. This place is absolutely dangerous. Eat small. Come back for something else. Don’t get stuck here. We almost did.

Couldn’t pick what I wanted so many options finally chose the tiramisu which looks so decadent and nice with what I thought was pipped cream however I was sadly disappointed when I sat down to eat my dessert and found that the topping was not a cream but a meringue which why would you put that on a tiramisu does not taste good and it’s hard and then the tiramisu underneath lacked sufficient mascarpone and it was just not delightful the espresso/caffeine that was used it was very overpowering . I also ordered a hot chocolate also very disappointing not very sweet was very mild chocolate flavor not sure if they used real chocolate or powder but it was giving powder and overall great atmosphere great customer service just fell flat with the follow-through

As a baker of over 40 years of experience I approve of this place. Everything looks so neat and clean and fresh and the coffee is very good. Stopped in for coffee and some sweets and they were excellent. Keep up the good job.

Nice spot for coffee and pastries, with a beautiful display case that makes everything look tempting. The atmosphere is cozy and good for a quick meet-up, but prices feel high for the portion sizes. Service can also feel rushed when it gets busy.

Let me begin by saying I’m a “big” fan of The French Workshop… Sadly, my experience tonight was a bit underwhelming, so, my review is mixed. The pastries we chose were great, truly delicious tasting and absolutely “beautiful”. The barista didn’t add enough flavor to my wife’s coffee, so, we had to ask for an adjustment (it happens); however, at 8:40pm, a new barista arrived and made loud noises as he was literally “throwing” metal cups behind the counter & screaming to another staff member. This was so distracting, we nearly left. There were no paper towels in the bathroom and the hand dryer isn’t working. The dirty dishes were piled up & weren’t taken away. Little nuances like these make a big difference when you want to enjoy your coffee and pastries in house. I am sorry if these comments come across as harsh, but, I want to be fair and constructive as I know how hard it is to run a food business. Moving forward, you may want to assign a supervisor or manager to be on duty to help “see” what’s going on. I’m confident my next experience will be better.

I asked for a chicken avocado sandwich and either I got something else or they forgot to put any avocado. I asked for the sandwich to not be warmed up. They technically almost burned it. The bread is hard rock. I ordered the sandwich, which they heat up ( to the point it can’t be eaten without braking your teeth) and some small cakes . They put everything in the same bag. The hot sandwich melted the chocolate cakes and by the time I got home I had to throw away some of the melted cakes and the sandwich. I go to this place very often, their sourdough bread and lava cakes are the best I ever had, but never experienced something like that. I don’t think I will go back or I will check everything on the spot so I don’t have to waste a trip and money ( they are very expensive).

You can not go wrong in this place other than the service. I gave 4 stars cause last visit it was pretty good..but its def hit or miss service wise..food wise..the place is insane. Amazing desserts..prices are not bad for the quality of item you are getting. Chocolate tart was the best ive ever had.

I absolutely love this café in Plainview Center. Every time I go inside, I feel like I am in a European café. The staff is always very friendly And helpful. My son loves their macaroons. Would highly recommend this place to everyone!
