Definitely one of my least favorite spots. Customer service wasn’t great and coffee wasn’t great. Lattes weren’t pulled fresh, limited types of coffee flavors and no seasonal or signatures. Probably won’t ever return.

A place like this should sell fresh pastries but they’re not they’re all from the freezer, my cheese muffin was actually rock solid ice inside, what a shame and scam, also they have tasteless espresso, people have no clue how espresso should taste so they give good reviews but anyone that has ever tasted good coffee will be shocked how bad their cappuccinos and lattes are, they are literally tasteless.
You see on their menu” home baked pastry”, don’t be fooled and think that they make it themselves, they are either defrosted or par baked and they just finished it in the oven.

Really awful, don’t waste your time. 4 people working and no one can sort out what a reusable cup is. People just cutting in front of people in line. Coffee was meh at best. Food exposed to the public side where people are coughing on it.

The French Press coffee roasters knows coffee and its customers like a farmer knows his sheep by face. Each drink is individually mixed and prepared by super friendly and respectful customer service baristas. The place is meticulously clean and the shops atmosphere is great for a quite getaway to air out from the hustle of Lakewood’s daily grind. They recently added a showcase that is fully stocked with cake miniatures, organic chocolates and exquisite sweets, healthy salads ,exotic yogurts as well as their famous croissants which are delicious.

A geshmak spot for a serious coffee chizuk.

French Press Uptown is mamish a matzliach place. I’ve popped in more times than I can count, and every time I walk out feeling like a new person — or at least a more awake one. The coffee here isn’t stam coffee… it’s the kind that gives you a real koach to handle the day, the kids, the errands, or whatever else comes flying at you.

The aroma when you walk in already gives you a chizuk. The whole place has that chilled, classy vibe, but still feels comfortable — like you can sit down with a sefer, a laptop, or just your own thoughts and no one’s looking at you funny.

Their drinks? Mamish next level. Whether it’s their cold brew that hits harder than a Mussar shmuess, or their macchiato that people talk about like it’s a shtikel Torah — they get it right, every single time. And the pastries are always fresh, the kind you tell yourself you’re not getting… and then two minutes later you’re eating.

Parking can be a patchke sometimes, but once you’re inside, it’s worth every minute of circling the block. The staff is friendly, quick, and always with a smile — the kind of nice that doesn’t feel forced.

Bottom line: If you need a quiet place to think, learn, shmooze, or just grab a high-quality coffee that actually tastes like something, French Press Uptown is your spot. A real hidden gem in Lakewood.

This place seemed good enough, but I believe they need to update their offerings here on Google since they had absolutely no actual food as displayed here. They also didn’t appear to have half and half, which I find kind of strange for an exclusive coffee place. But friendly enough and I’m sure the coffee is arabica beans and just fine.

Place smells amazing!!! As a pregnant woman I was obsessing over how good it smelled!!! Food is alright. Didn’t love the egg croissant I got as it tasted artificial. I’m confident the other food taste good. My husband got a coffee and he said that was alright tasting too.

The coffee was excellent. I like strong dark coffee and got their cold brew. It was smooth and full of flavor. The gentleman that served me was kind and knowledgeable about coffee, I assume he is the manager or owner. I was referred here by a client awhile ago and I’m glad I’ve finally stopped in. Place was clean and comfortable.
