Nice place, hard to see when your driving by. Our waiter was great at his job there were 7 of us and he didn’t write anything down. I know I couldn’t do it. Food wise, the fish was 10/10, Shrimp 10/10, the fries 6/10, the burger was super bland, and the breakfast sandwich I was told 8/10 didn’t taste. All and all average. The Appetizers were the best thing on the Menu. I probably wouldn’t plan to go back, because it wouldnt even make it in my top 10 places in Lafayette but if someone was, hey you wanna go grab a bite at French Press I wouldn’t be opposed, so there far I give it a 3/5

The place is located in the corner in downtown Lafayette. Quaint location with a bar the back. Arrived about 830am not crowded. We had a party of 6 and got table in middle of restaurant. There was 3 servers The food was delicious with great presentation. Most eye catching was the bloody Mary with okra, bacon, string beans, olives, lemon&lime. The prices are reasonable for the food you get. You will be full and will enjoy. I’ll be back!

Lovely place for brunch. I had the Sweet Baby Breesus of 3 buttermilk biscuits, boudin balls and cane syrup with a side of praline bacon. Amazingly delicious. My partner had the fried chicken on a cheddar waffle. The cane jelly had a little spice but the waffle tempered the heat.

Service was friendly and fast.

The food was VERY flavorful! The flavor profiles on our dishes were well crafted. The customer service was great as well! The place is also has an industrial, rustic, charm which is aesthetically pleasing!

The food service was very slow. But that day was out of the ordinary. A cook quit and walked out on them. Needless to say it took an extra long time for our meals to arrive. BUT our server was outstanding. She was kind, apologetic and attentive. We were a large group of 11 as well. The cuisine was good that day. Some items were excellent, others were ordinary. All said and done I would definitely go back because of the staff that attended to us. I wish I remembered her name! Beautiful eyes, dark hair, young with a tattoo on her hand that was sanskrit. So if the owners read this. I hope you can figure out who she is. Because she deserves recognition.

Was I ever impressed with French Press! It is a beautiful building inside that looks to grow better with age!
The menus, salt & pepper shakers, sweet jars for water glasses…all very lovely. The food dishes were so delicious, & came out in no time. The waiter was very polite & cafeful…felt like fine dining, but so relaxed.
Highly recommend!

This was a great discovery my Wife and I found. A must go to when we are in Lafayette. You must get the High Tower Mimosa.

It’s a Very Sad TIME. We returned to the area and find out this location has closed to allow the Ambassador Caffery Pkwy location continue. Bigger is not always better especially when you loose the very cool building and it’s unique atmosphere it brought to the table. What a shame..I’m sure the food is still great but that’s not everything.

We cut a trip short in NOLA, pulled up this place for breakfast. Best decision the whole trip. I had the chicken and waffles, amazing..no syrup needed because the chicken has a glaze that sits on a buttermilk cheese waffle…my son had the cajun Benedict…wow, he doesn’t get adventurous often but it blew him away!
