A wonderfully quaint find! This kitschy location has it all! Warm feeling, good food, and panache! I couldn’t decide what I wanted more so I tried the strawberry croissant, tiramisú, a heated cinnamon roll, and a lemon bar! Each bite was more delicious than the next! If you’re in Durham this is a must see/visit/eat! Bon appetite!

We went to the French Corner Bakery this weekend and it was lovely. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and tables were clean, tidy, and cute. I had a blueberry Danish and my partner had a ham and cheese on a croissant. Both were delicious. My husband said his latte was excellent as well.

This place is a gem. The breads are to die for the cranberry pecan is one of my favorites. They have coffees and pastries. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. The Ladies are wonderful and so sweet! The atmosphere and vibes are great, the tables are old sowing tables. The strawberry croissant was so refreshing. 10/10 you should definitely come here!

If you’re craving authentic, freshly baked French pastries and breads, The French Corner Bakery in Durham is absolutely worth a stop. This cozy, charming bakery consistently earns great reviews for its flaky croissants, buttery turnovers, and beautifully crafted desserts — from tiramisu to macarons — with many customers saying everything they’ve tried has been delicious.
the shop is tucked away in a strip mall and feels like a hidden gem, with converted vintage sewing machine tables creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe perfect for enjoying a latte and pastry.

Fantastic little spot hidden away around the corner. The pastries are delicious, the mouse cake is velvety and rich, the black and white cookie is good too. It has a good atmosphere. There are 7 old sewing machine tables converted to cafe tables and countless Eiffel Towers. It’s very cozy and comfortable. They also make custom cakes. Give it a try.

ordered from The French Corner Bakery for my 12 employees, and it was a huge hit! Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. The pastries had amazing flavor and the quality was outstanding. My team couldn’t stop talking about how good everything tasted. Great service, great food, and definitely a place I’ll keep ordering from. Highly recommend!

Save yourself and DO NOT ENTER if you are hungry. I promise myself every time I go to only get one item. But when I open the door and the heavenly smell of exquisitely baked goods hits my nose, it’s all over.
I can’t say I’ve had everything they make, but I CAN say I’ve not had a single item I wouldn’t ‘try’ again.

I am from the New York-New Jersey area, and I can tell you that this is a high quality bakery!! You can tell by the way the croissant flakes off, its the highest quality and freshest ingredients possible. All of the pastries that I had were very, very good, my wife had a ham and cheese and pesto sandwich on a croissant, she said it was extremely good because the ingredients were high quality and very fresh. That’s what made it taste so delicious. Though the owner (a French baker) retired, the staff continued his high quality and continues to uses his French recipes.
A very friendly staff made the whole experience a delight!!
We will definitely be back again. Though, I do wish that they put more chocolate in the chocolate croissants. I’m a bit of a chocoholic!!

Excellent apple turnover and a great latte. The pastry was so light and fluffy, you almost needed to tie it down to keep it from floating away. Nice peaceful respite on a hot Sunday afternoon. Server was great, polite and welcoming. And how often can you eat your pastry seated at a treadle sewing machine.

I sat here for a couple of hours with friends. The sandwiches, pastries, and espresso were lovely. They had kids activities in the corner. The staff was incredible. I can’t recommend this place for coffee and pastries in a wonderful atmosphere highly enough!
