We came when the temperature was 90°+ outside. The inside was full. The line was long. But that gave us time to decide what to get. Lots of selections, and 4 people working. The line went quick, the seating open as we got our order. Good job for a smooth operation! Outside seating was available, but with a cone, it would have melted in 30 seconds.

Celebrity named sundaes, other ice cream and stuff available. Yes! Loved it. I ordered the Little Richie. With Regular ice cream even though I should have had lactose free ice cream. Parking, seating inside and outside. Fun, creative place.

What’s worse…no service or bad service ? In my case, it was no service. Usually a busy place, I walked into The Freeze on a Wednesday afternoon at 1:30, June 21. There were 3 young girls behind the counter and I was 1 of 3 customers in the store. I stood at the register for a few minutes…nothing. We were 15 feet apart, how do they not know I’m there. I could’ve helped myself to whatever I wanted, I don’t think they would have noticed. I started the countdown, that if nobody approached me, I’d be out the door. Time was up so I left and I won’t be back. Lots of other places serve ice cream, I’ll go to one of them. The owner is more than welcome to check his camera. You can have great food at great prices but bad service will ruin it all. Goodby Freeze. If you were busy, I’d understand. I was clearly just ignored.

We had ice cream sundaes and they were absolutely amazing! Really delicious, generous amounts of fruit and a very inventive menu. Want to try one of everything!!

Always love the freeze… I get the almondjoy milkshake lactose free. This season I was disappointed in the quality of my shake did not taste the same… no where near the taste of an almond joy very little chocolate very much amaretto flavor and not much coconut flavor… as for the staff they are always sweet girls high-school students and never disappoint with their friendly demeanor… my son loves going because the girls load the sprinkles and it makes him feel so super special and on top of the world….

Our ice cream was delicious! They were busy, but we didn’t have a long wait. I’ll definitely be back sometime!

The Freeze has been around longer than I can remember. It was formerly known as Tastee Freeze. Ice cream and milkshakes haven’t changed much over the years. My only complaint is it’s cash only. I rarely carry cash, and having to use the ATM inside, be prepared for the charges (which I don’t remember at the moment). Otherwise, The Freeze is one of Sch. Counties “must stop” locations.

The Freeze is an original, authentic 1950’s ice cream parlor. The environment inside feels like you’ve stepped back in time. The staff try their best, but rush customers. The Freeze is often crowded to the point of being uncomfortable. At one visit, there was nowhere to sit in the main area. The outdoor pavilion has picnic tables and string lights which offer a calm space to escape from the cramped indoor seating options. The ice cream is delicious, there is plenty of parking, there are a plethora of options from milkshakes to cones, banana splits, and “blizzards.” They do offer hot dishes like fries, hotdogs, etc.
