My wife and I got takeout on 02/24/2026 and I had to call them after we opened the box. I needed to let them know that they had possibly made the best pizza I have ever encountered in 48 years. It was flavorful, the toppings were fresh, the cheese laid perfectly, and the gluten-free crust was better than any that I have tried since my wife’s allergy was dicovered. The staff was friendly and very helpful when I called in my order. They were paitent when my wife and I were asking questions. This is a very high and lofty recommendation if you are looking for the best pizza in Farmville, Virginia!

Tonight a group of five of us dined at The Fox and The Lamb. We got five different types of pizza and a salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. The server was friendly and attentive: Great experience all around! We will definitely be back!

While visiting from out of state, we stopped in for dinner around 7:00 on a Wednesday night and grabbed one of the two open tables. Small place, about 6 tables total. Great decor! Our waitress Carrington was attentive and kind. Small thing, I know, but I loved the small crushed ice they used in their sodas!! I got a simple 6-inch cheese pizza, perfect size for one or two people to share if not really hungry. It was about $6 for my pizza, which I felt like was a really great price! It was delicious, and I loved the crust, the perfect balance of not too thin and not too thick.

When back in town we will visit again!

Have eaten here 3 times. Usually like to go multiple times to a spot before reviewing if I know I will return. Have had 3 different pizzas here and 2 different salads over 3 visits. Have to say it was amazing each time. The pizza crust is very very airy and delicious and the salads were fresh and crisp each time. Also had a good IPA option each time. Loved it and can’t wait to return. Only suggestion I would have or make is cold glasses for beer – would be much better than room temp glasses to pour cold beer in. That said can’t wait to return. Have literally been thinking on my pizza from yesterday since I woke up today. . Very reasonable prices also!

The pizza was phenomenal! My family and I have tried the Apple Cheddar Bacon, Buffalo Chicken, Lemon Arugula, and the Bacon Goat Cheese with Arugula. The crust is just the right amount of chewy and the melding of ingredients is perfection! The ambiance shows just how much heart and passion have been put towards the whole dining experience. The service is also amazing and we have never had a single complaint. The Fox and Lamb is not to be missed when in Farmville!

This is a small, cool restaurant in historic downtown Farmville with really nice vibes. I ordered a cheese pizza, which had a thick, puffy crust and the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. I did order a small and would have preferred a little more balanced ratio (less crust) but it really was a nice bite. I had the decadent cappuccino mousse cake for dessert (gluten free), and WOW—utterly delicious. I will definitely be back to try more of the other menu items, including salads, but will wait for warmer weather because in a place as small as this, I got an arctic blast from the winter temps outside every time the door opened.

I read some of the other reviews when I had the opportunity to sit and eat at this establishment. I think some of the negative reviews are akin to “my pizza was too delicious and I hate it”.

This place is great. The proprietors are great. The ambience and vibe, get this? GREAT.

But the pizza. Listen. Stop what you’re doing and go try their pizza. I was immediately reminded of Montreal Canada Catherine Street oven fired excellence from my childhood. It was like that scene in Ratatouille, where I was teleported back in time to when pizza was an experience. This food is awesome. Awesome I tell you.

Will be back.

Our starter was a peach bruschetta that was fresh and balanced. It was served promptly and warm from toasting. We ordered three different pizzas from the menu. Each was amazing. Loved the hot honey bacon one! Run don’t walk to the Fox and the Lamb.

Such a great addition to a happening food scene in downtown Farmville VA! We’ve had just about everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. From a simple pepperoni pizza to their hot honey bacon! The drinks, food and atmosphere are worth a stop anytime you’re in Farmville.

This is such a cute restaurant. The decor gives a moody, vintage vibe that I love. Beside that the food was outstanding. The seasonal pizza was to die for, along with the white pizza. The burrata was perfect. The service was great and our waitress was so kind, and handled our larger party perfectly. Such a gem in Farmville. Will be returning!
