I absolutely loved my experience here at The Fountain Kitchen & Wine bar. I don’t even know where to start! The food was excellent, I was very impressed. I had the classic Margarita pizza and wine. The best part was it was still happy hour and I was very happy with the prices. My parents were also very happy with their food as well. They had the Spaghetti Bolognese and the Shrimp Scampi. From what I tasted both dishes were excellent as well. I also loved the atmosphere, the building is very unique and rustic. Lastly, the service was great as well. Staff were very friendly. If you’re in the mood for some good authentic Italian, I can’t recommend enough.

It had been a few years wanting to try this place and I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I am quite surprised it only has 300 ratings in 7+ years as it’s so well located. It was a delightful experience. The pizza creations are definitely different (and they’re phenomenal) – I think I’m going to try a different one every time I eat here. The brussel sprouts were big and delicious, some of the best I’ve had. Excellent service. Highly recommend!

Everything is five star this location, but the greatest thing about the fountain, kitchen and wine bar is the staff. Julia operates one of the coolest vibes in downtown Sarasota. I definitely recommend everyone was wonderful. Julia was a breath of fresh air very inviting. I felt like I was at a friend‘s kitchen hanging out very comfortable. Can’t wait to do this again. A magical experience that popped up out of nowhere on our way to Marie Selby Botanical gardens. Best Italian food ever with my favorite wine. Service was wonderful too. Fabulous warm atmosphere. Look forward to going back.

Pros-the food was good, service (Mary was our waitress) was excellent, and the outdoor seating was very nice. Cons-not sure when this became a thing but having only one size pizza seems ridiculous to me. The pizza was very small (included a photo). We also ordered the $16 prosciutto salad. Now I don’t mind paying a high price for food, assuming its full portioned and tasty. The salad was 99% arugula, maybe 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, a little burrata cheese, and barely any prosciutto. If it was even 1 slice of prosciutto I’d be surprised. The food was good, but since the portions are small, 5 minutes after you leave, you’ll want to stop at McDonalds and get a Big Mac.

Great little place in old downtown Sarasota. Cool vibe, beautiful patio with umbrellas, and great food! Salads and pizzas were out of this world good! The staff are very nice and attentive. Loved the whole experience.

A great quite place on entrance of downtown. We enjoyed seating right on Burn sq fountain having Good pizzas, salads and pasta. They have Good wine selection and cheese and meat board for drink also afternoon coffee and deserts. We stayed at Burn sq vacation apt above restaurant, we enjoyed the restaurant so much.

So good. I’m never disappointed. Pizza is excellent, all of them, depending on ur topping preferences. Chopped salad and brussels sprouts are also perfection. The Fountain has quickly become my favorite neighborhood go-to spot. My picky eater toddler concurs.
