Located within the Tram Haus Lodge at Jay Peak, the Foundry Pub & Grille is a solid place to dine at while staying at this hotel. We had dinner here tonight and our burgers were pretty good.

The staff were friendly and we were seated quickly. Once seated though it was very slow service and decent but not great breakfast food. We went twice for breakfast and that is the only meal I can judge on. I asked for honey in my tea and they brought over a crusty old honey jar that was sitting around for months. The honey was completely crystalized and unable to be used. The food itself was good but not what I would consider resort quality. They are able to accommodate for gluten free. Yogurt parfait though was delicious and fresh!

Blustering cold and windy so parking was rough and crowded. Wee were walking popsicles when we arrived.
Kim the host was super helpful, kind and gave us prompt service. Her knowledge of the mountain and resort is top knotch, if she hasn’t already been promoted, please do so soon! She’s a fantastic employee.
Our server, Kelly, was very sweet, service was quick, food was hot, made and served quickly.
Cesar salad was good. BLT was good and filling. French fries were mediocre but what do you expect from a high volume ski resort restaurant really.
Bartender Tiffany made a good mid-day old fashioned and thanked us for our visit.
Might I recommend getting ice ball molds for old fashioneds though? An Ol’ Fash on ice cubes is tacky. And ice ball molds are super inexpensive, easy to fill and store. If theyre a popular drink there, definitely look into balls or a large cube even, it really changes the aesthetic of the drink.

As we left, Kim the host thanked us for our visit and we stopped to chat, she offered us some local knowledge on things to do in the area on a windy and snowy day. Thanks Kim, you rock!

The hostess was playing on her phone when we walked up. She looked annoyed that we were bothering her for a table. She brought us to a hi top and I asked if we could have not a hi top (uncomfortable in ski boots). She gave us a nasty look, didn’t reply and moved us to a nearby table. It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order. The only reason we didn’t leave was that the menu was so appetizing. When my husband ordered a 2nd beer that also took 15 minutes. The bar was empty and there was plenty of staff and more empty tables than full ones. It was not busy at all. The food was good, big portions.

Our food and service were good! We ordered the buffalo boneless wings and the burger. The boneless wings were pretty good for resort food. The burger and were fries were good as well; my only notes would be the bun was a bit of a strange choice and the dish was a little too sauced and greasy. I got the Lavender Meyer Lemonade mocktail and it was sooo delicious! Perfectly tart and not too sweet.

Very expensive and not great food – service was the only thing we can say was great about the Foundry. So much potential to be amazing though! We came here after visiting the Pump House Waterpark and got a variety of different things: Thai Chili Wings, Haynes and Pepperoni Pizzas on gluten-free dough, and the Jay Burger. We also got the Lavender Meyer Lemonade mocktail to drink. The mocktail was good but the wings were just okay – was too heavy on the chili. I feel like a Thai chili sauce should be sweet and spicy, but it was just all spice and no sweetness to it.

The gluten-free pizza was super disappointing…maybe the normal pizzas are okay, but these tasted like microwaveable pizza. I don’t know why they would even have a gluten-free option if it tasted this bad! So many other places in Vermont do amazing gluten-free pizzas so I have no idea why they can’t use a better dough. And then the burger was pretty sub-par as well – for $18 using Cabot cheddar, I would expect a fantastic, juicy burger. It was unfortunately quite bland, pretty dry (when cooked medium) and honestly a bit gamey. If it’s literally called the “Jay” Burger, after the resort, I’d sure as heck try to make my namesake burger as good as possible if I were Jay Peak…not aure what happened there.

Basically, I would steer clear of the pizzas and the Jay Burger specifically, and I just don’t know what I would recommend here. Again, only the service (and the view from our window table) were good. Check out some other places at Jay Peak or at nearby towns before you come to this place, I guess!

I was almost swayed not to eat here from other reviews, but they were older so we still went. We were very happy with everything. We got the New England Clam Chowder, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and Chicken Cutlet. Very good! Expensive but it’s at a ski resort so that is to be expected lol.

Let me just rate the breakfast here. Ex-powder scrambled eggs, inedible links and a toast bread for 14$. Complementary breakfasts in Quality Inns are tastier than this. Go to local places for brekkie instead

The atmosphere and service each get a star. The 3 blank stars are for quality. The breakfast sausages were unseasoned and bland, there were grounds in the coffee, a hair on my plate, and they were out of yogurt for the parfait. This was the pre-Thanksgiving soft opening day, so I suppose we should cut some slack, but I think the quality is what it is. Underwhelming. Especially for the standards of Jay Peak.

The breakfast felt like a waste of money. The sausage was inedible, the omelette was undercooked, coffee was burnt, and we had to ask for butter for our toast. Overall I liked the views and that’s what it felt like I was paying for.
