First time back to the Fort since pre covid. I took my nieces for a night out. Menu was limited which is probably a good thing. The food was not good. I had a chicken sandwich on focaccia which was supposed to have aioli. It tasted bland and like a lemon sauce was used. You can tell the chicken breast used is a cheap processed type. I got a side salad with balsamic dressing. The oil in the dressing was coagulated and separated. The server originally forgot the dressing and had to go back to grab it. The issue is he grabbed it and brought it to me without noticing? Seems like the mentality of the wait staff is that they are used to serving sub par food. For what I paid for two kids and myself, I could have went to a better restaurant with quality. We played some arcade games and laser tag where my nieces vest did not work. A $200 night out was definitely disappointing. Definitely won’t come back. I cannot see this place lasting if they can’t get the kitchen to produce a decent meal.

This was our first time going to The Fort. We didn’t know what to expect and were surprised at the arcade in there. Apparently there’s a bowling alley as well.
Our reservation was for dinner in their restaurant. We ordered the lightly battered haddock with fries and apple-slaw. The portions were huge and absolutely delicious. Our server (was amazing!) made me a mock-Mojito – super yummmm! We will definitely go there again and maybe spend a few hours in the arcade before dinner. We might even reserve a lane and bowl a few games. It seems like a nice place to spend time specially now that the weather is colder and the tendency is to do fun things indoors. Not too far a trip from practically anywhere in the county.
Dinner was reasonably priced.
Will make this one of our go-to places.

We went for the menu tasting tonight. The food was amazing and service as well. The new menu items were all homemade and kudos to all the staff that worked so hard tonight. I would hands down order any of the items that we tried tonight. Excellent job!

My wife and I decided to check the place out for dinner tonight for the 1st time. If we could give a rating higher than 5 we would. The burgers were absolutely amazing, my poutine was to die for and my wife said her soup was the best she has ever had. The owner and server we had were very welcoming and informative. Our waiter was worth every penny of the tip. They got a new Ukrainian chef so we inquired about the perogies and were told they were amazing. When we finished and paid our bill our waiter said he had a treat for us and that we could go play games and he would come and get us when it was ready. About 7 minutes later he came out to let us know that there was something on the table for us. When we got back to the table there was a plate with homemade perogies, deep fried perogies and deep fried pork dumplings. My family is Croatian and my wife’s Ukrainian. The perogies brought us both back to the home made perogies our parents and grandparents made. Amazing. The atmosphere was great, clean and fun. I would recommend The Fort to anyone and everyone. There is something for all ages.

It was my 1st visit, and I was with friends at the bowling alley. I wanted to order food, so I walked up to the counter inside the restaurant. A nice young lady handed me a menu and talked to me about it. Just as I was about to order my food, another staff walked up to the young lady and demanded her to take care of tables instead. I then proceeded to wait another 10 minutes before someone else came to take my order. It was unprofessional that the other staff pulled her away from helping a customer, and her tone wasn’t friendly.
The food was very good though and it came quick. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful. They often checked on how me and my friends were doing.

We were at The Fort in amherstburg for their RIB FEST. First year they had it so not many vendors but what was there were excellent.
Ribs were moist and meaty not crazy prices.
They had couple of craft beers and a lemonade vendor.
Friday night was not crowded by any means hope the rest of weekend brings more people out.

We recently held a large group party at the Fort! We reserved a large section of the main bar area and had a fabulous experience. The staff was wonderful to communicate with during the planning process and incredibly accommodating and attentive to our questions and needs. Night of, the food was delicious, drinks were great and service was quick, efficient and done w great customer service! Special thanks to Greg, Abby & Connie! All of our guests had a great time .. thank you again to the fort and team for making our going away party run seamlessly!

We visited this place to hangout with some friends. We started off with bowling, which you pay by the hour. The lane atmosphere is nice, the couches and tables nice. The bowling equipment and systems need major care and upgrading. The 1 pin in our lane (rope pins) was broken with a large chunk missing from it and every time it reset the pin fell over because it could not stand on its own. The system marking your game is very slow. You find yourself waiting for the system to count and mark the person before you and it slows the entire game down so you can barely complete one full game within the hour. Bowling cost over $40 dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids with shoe rentals.
Secondly, we ordered food to enjoy while bowling. The menu looks nice, the prices are expensive in general, however if the food is good, I could understand. The food was terrible. We ordered 1 pizza (half dill pickle, half meat lovers). 2 pops, 2 kids lemonade and the garlic and parm Fracacctia bread. The food was over $70.00 plus tip. The bread came out, looks pleasing, however lacked flavor terribly and was small in portion vs cost. The kids drinks and pop were excellent. The pizza came out wrong, and was very thin and soggy. They replaced the pizza with a correct one, which had more crust, but still paper thin bottom. The sauce was unpleasant, the toppings lacked flavor and were the same as a value brand pre-made pizza from a cheap grocery store. But tasted worse. The food service was terrible (no fault to the waitress). She was running hard and appeared very flustered. It was easy to see there was a lack of training and standards from high above the floor staff level.
Last we tried the arcade and laser tag. The young man at the counter was polite but did not seem interested in his work. I expect same as the waitress, the management did not set him up for success. We paid $40 for laser tag and $20 to get 40 “digital tokens” to play. We started with the arcade, and every game we played whether kids or more grown up cost 8 tokens each, the equivalent of $2.00 per game, and 1 cost 12 tokens ($3.00) to play. Approximately 6 different games (the more interesting ones) were down and out of service. My daughters card was missing 8 tokens. The young man at the counter was helpful but it took time as he needed a manager to assist. The manager came out with a “managers card” and the statement “Try and see if it works because I ran it through the laundry”. It did and we were able to play. Other than the time, it was handled well. We went to the laser tag and there were no instructions provided, a couple vests that were not working. The room was fun, the smoke machine was heavy and it got difficult for my son to breath so he left the room and missed about 2 minutes of play. The young man even said wow thats smoky in there. I assume it’s not set up properly.
Finally the bathrooms. The mens room was obviously not maintained. Every toilet was full of smears, stains, and sprinkles. The place was not busy so this was obviously not checked on and ignored for some time. I cleaned the least dirty seat and after finishing the toilet does not flush. I tried 3 times and the handle different ways, the water would swirl for about 1 second and stop. Of the 2 paper towel dispensers, 4 or so soap dispensers, and 2 electric driers, several were not working. My wife and daughter confirmed the same overall conditions in the ladies room.
The last time we were there was 2 years ago and it was a lot better. The place is currently different owners than before (according to staff) and it shows. From overall condition, to food and service quality, training and customer satisfaction, every aspect was in the toilet. We will not be returning and wasting our money or our time. There are much better places, some cheaper, most cleaner and better cared for. $160. for 2 adults and 2 kids, worth no more than $60. of quality.
