Food was AMAZING! I ordered the 3 piece catfish combo with hush puppies and fries. My husband got the 10 piece party wings in hot that included celery and carrots (Fried to perfection!-He loved them )
The filets were big and seasoned to perfection as well. The homemade hush puppies had a nice crunch on the outside and a soft inside. Loved the seasoned fries. Me and the family will definitely be back!

The customer service by the owner of this place was exceptional. He was very kind. I ordered the catfish sandwich combo. I was surprised by the portion for that price but very pleased. Would highly recommend!
Update: Went back for the fried fish combo. Red Rice was fantastic too!

My first time, and just know I will be back. I even ate the cole slaw, everything made right. The Catfish, Shrimp, wings, fries and onion rings on point. I’ve passed this place going to work all the time, not knowing.

Catfish and wings came out fried to perfection. Wings were our favorite thing. You have to take the food to go as there are no tables to sit. They did forget to give napkins so make sure when you go to grab some!

Eh idk. The catfish was a good portion but tasted weird to me and had a VERY strong smell. I threw it in the trash. Took quite a while for someone to come to the counter to take my order and took a while for the food to get done.

Very Nice little restaurant. It is with a different set up. You cannot dine in there only take out I think but the food is the bomb . I got hot wings and It was really good . I recently haven’t eaten such good wings . They were jumbo wings and the sauce was on point . I did get the combo so I got fries with it . The fries were a little hard and dry . Overall I loved it and I will go back if I crave for wings .

Went in tonight for the first time. Tried the whiting, chili dogs and a burger. Service and the food was amazing. There is a wait but well worth it for the fresh food. Keep it up! We will be back to try the catfish, wings and onion rings!

I was looking up places for chili dogs or polish sausages for lunch near where I work and found The Food Joint. It’s a new establishment that I didn’t know of until now. The menu is very appetizing and the food is made fresh to order for pure customers satisfaction So if you’re on lunchtime, call your order in first or do it online. I had 2 of the Chicago dogs and Onion rings. It was so daggon good!!!. When I got my order, I only had 10 minutes left on my lunch break to get back to work and eat. Food was so good I tried my best to finish it all in such a short time. Please believe, I couldn’t wait for my next break to finish the rest. In my Jesus voice, “I shall return!”

I had a great experience at The Food Joint Chicken Place! The food was absolutely delicious—some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. It was super crispy, juicy, and full of flavor.
The hush puppies were also amazing—perfectly fried and packed with taste. And the catfish? Just as good! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and really well seasoned.
On top of the great food, the service was just as impressive. Everyone there was very polite, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. You could really tell they cared.
Overall, I’m giving this place a full 5 stars. Great food, great people—definitely worth a visit! Me and my wife will be back!

The owner Ron is very nice and friendly! The food was fresh and amazing! My fiancé had the whole wings, fries, and coleslaw. He ate every bit of his plate. Today I ordered him the burger and fries. He loved it! Try out this hidden gem in Buford by the Shell. Very good prices also!
