Only closed 3 hrs a day.. Dive In! You’ll be surprised…
Ruckmoor Lounge is an oddly unique bar experience, diverse in every way imaginable. All the joy of a great dive bar with an awkward vintage swankiness that reveals a deep secret history of unknown adventures past and present.

The bar layout is shotgun style, forcing interaction with the charismatic locals..prices are super cheap, killer daily drink specials, CASH ONLY with ATM onsite.
No kitchen, however BYO food is welcomed & encouraged.

Chill Zones include (2) outdoor patios with fire pits, indoor lounge with fireplace and cozy vintage furniture…reminiscent of a cigar bar or poker room and all out good vibes.

Activities include darts, pool, beer pong, ring toss, sports, keno, jukebox, ring toss, karaoke, drinking, smoking, dancing.. plus lots of hotels near by 🙂

Open 5:30AM to 2:30AM. Wow.
Definitely worth a visit – or become a regular!!

Horrifying Experience — Avoid This Bar at All Costs I rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about 6 months ago. My friends and I went out looking for a fun night but what we experienced was shocking, dangerous, and completely unacceptable. When we arrived, a man (stated to be a regular and new the owners) approached us and literally placed a gallon size bag of cocaine on the bar counter and attempted to sell it in plain sight to me and my friends (3 women and 2 men). There were two women with him (the seller) who were clearly involved. We declined. But instead of confronting him or removing him, the staff did NOTHING ( a skinny brunette named Kate) The bartender saw it all; the bag was right there. After we refused to buy the drugs, the two women with him attacked two of my friends for absolutely no reason assaulted them punched them both in the head as we walked away. One moment we were talking and laughing, the next they were being shoved and hit. This was violent, unprovoked, and terrifying. My friends were shaken.
And if that wasn’t bad enough: the bartender then came over, took the drinks we had just purchased out of our hands, and coldly told us we were “kicked out.” The people selling the drugs the ones who instigated the assault were left inside. I told the bartender as a bartender myself that she’s completely in the wrong and if she’s taking my drinks I’m getting a refund in which she handed us back the drinks and told us to leave immediately after. No intervention. No concern. We were the only ones asked to leave. NOT THE DEALER AND ASSAULTERS. I left feeling unsafe, disrespected, and outraged. A bar should be a place of enjoyment and safety not open drug dealing and violence. The fact that staff prioritized kicking out paying customers over protecting them and removing the dangerous individuals inside speaks volumes. Bottom Line: This bar does not care about customer safety or decency. I strongly advise DO NOT GO. If you value your safety and your night out, skip this place altogether. YOU WILL BE RISKING YOUR SAFETY.

Extremely kind, friendly folk! Excellent drink specials! CASH ONLY so be prepared, but they do have an ATM and gambling machines. (Neither of which I’ve used, but they are there if you need them.) Free pool on Sundays! Fun place! Beautiful fire pit out front with comfy seating, weather permitting.

At first, it was great, retro vibe, a little loud, but they had the football games going and it was fun. When music was playing it was good music. We had a woodfired pizza that was awesome but then the music changed to the most disgusting rap music I have ever heard in my life. It was the type that celebrated violence against women. It was gross and we had to leave.

I was racially discriminated & harassed . I’m a person of color who just arrived to the bar for the first time and was encountered by the owner pressuring me to hurry up and purchase alcohol. He didn’t approach anyone else in the bar to make them buy drinks. I always spend money at bars, but will not be spending money here. You shouldn’t either BLACK LIVES MATTER

Cool older bar with character. Friendly diverse crowd. Bartenders were very attentive. Again it’s an older place so the layout is a bit funky. Some areas are small, some narrow. Not a big deal though. Adds to the feel in a way.

Service is top-notch
Makayla working the bar is really good at her job. Super friendly and engaging. She knows her stuff and makes the customer feel welcomed.
When you come inside, it’s cozy, and it doesn’t feel like a bar. It’s been here for years but is up to date. Comfortable seating areas by fire, seating at bar, and pool tables, a smoking area outside, and the bathrooms are very clean.

I was disappointed in my last visit to the Ruckmoor — an old school dive bar near my hometown. I’ve been to the Ruckmoor many times over the years and have some fantastic stories to tell. I was meeting friends from the Old Neighborhood for drinks so I was primed for nostalgia. I’m not sure the source of my annoyance. Either I’ve out-grown the Ruckmoor, this was a one-off lousy experience, or the place is just straight up bad. I’ll forgive the bartender for not knowing how to use the cash register and for taking a looooong time to respond with drinks. It appeared to be her first night on the job. What I can’t abide is the unnecessarily loud music — at 7pm! — that randomly flipped over to the lacross game on TV. There was not a table that wasn’t under the speakers blaring. As they say, “Read the room.” No need for that. The cash-only gimmick is just annoying.
