This is a real hole in the wall restaurant. Outside seats and good country food. Outstanding customer service and overall good experience. Will eat here again.

Asking for just a burger. Service person States what sou ds good to the ears. So.ehow the burger was done in 3 minutes , greasy, overly salty and just all around bad. And has the nerve to charge 11$ for just a burger with no other sides or extras. That is horrible business, service and leaves an obvious account for lack of accountability for a simple profession. I will never go back for bad prices and worse food

I waited in line behind one car for over 10 minutes just to make it to the window and sit another 6 mins. Just to get a water logged piece of meat seasoned only by air and water. I will not make this mistake again. The tea tasted like they took the water from the septic line off Tyson production line and boiled it. This was my first and last visit to the Food Hut!

Best food in Forest, MS, and it’s not even close. I’ve only had a few of the menu options, but what I’ve had has made me a true believer!! The Philly Steak Wraps are out of this world good, and they have the best fish sandwich you’ll find within a 50 mile radius, if not larger, and no, I’m not exaggerating—trust me, I’ve looked. Don’t be fooled by the prices on the menu images in the reviews, they’re quite old. Prices weren’t posted at the restaurant on the new menus and I was surprised to pay almost $10 for the BLT and potato salad.
What actually surprised and disappointed me the most was how little $10 got me and the quality of the food. I had 3 bites of potatoe salad served in a condiment cup that wasn’t even filled to the top, and tasted like Walmart brand mustard potato salad. The BLT could have had more B, fresher T and a better type of L. The lettuce was just one large hard piece of iceberg, the cheapest most tasteless type of lettuce available.
The food was ok, not horrible but nothing special. For $10 I would expect either better quality, something unique or larger quantity. None of those qualities were meet so I really can’t recommend this place.
The service was nice otherwise I’d only give 2 stars.

Me and my coworkers have recently started visiting this establishment again for lunch. We are all very satisfied with the quality and taste of the burgers and everything we have ordered so far. I remember about a year or two it went downhill for the hut. I’m glad they got it back going now! I really enjoy the good ole fashioned patty hamburger and fixins on the burgers. Also a great value for a meal compared to the fast food places in town. You get actual food and not the garbage they call a burger elsewhere, cough. McDonald’s cough. I am very pleased with our experience here and plan many more lunches in the future! Also parking here can be tricky if you’re in a full sized pickup, recommend parking at the office building next door.

I loveeeeeee love love this place the guy (I’m assuming the owner) is the absolute sweetest but few weeks ago during lunch time it was a younger girl and two older ladies in there I was next in line to pick up my food and as it became my turn I assumed I was going to be greeted and offered to have my order taken but I was sadly mistaken!! the younger girl walked off from the window and started doing something on her phone while one of the older ladies fixed herself a drink and turned her back to me. Then the younger girl went to assist some at the drive through window still not acknowledging my presence… I literally stood there about 5 mins before I got ready to walk off because I felt as if they didn’t want to take my order and that’s when the younger girl asked if she could help me and after telling her I thought they weren’t going to take my order she gave a lil giggle and tried to assure me that that wasn’t the case. I literally haven’t been back since… my feelings were honestly hurt bc my children and I have spent a lot of money here and we really love the food but I refuse to feel like my money isn’t good enough

Old fashioned style hamburger was delicious!! The funnel fries was sweet and good. The fried catfish & the grilled shrimp was good too. The sweet tea was fresh tasting and good. Excellent service. We sat at the picnic area and ate. I would eat here again. THUMBS UP!!

Great little restaurant. I had fried catfish sandwich and homemade onion rings, husband had catfish platter. Fried to perfection. It was a warm afternoon and we ate at the picnic table. Delightful, friendly employees. We were passing through on our way south.
