Sweet Happy Place: A Cupcake Sanctuary!
This is a fantastic review! It highlights the unique appeal of the place and focuses on a key differentiator: the icing.
Here is an elaboration that expands on the key points, making it more vivid and engaging for Google Reviews:
“Sweet Happy Place” is the perfect name for this shop—it’s an absolute must-go when that cupcake craving hits!
The true star of the show here is the icing. I am usually someone who scrapes the frosting off any cake, but I genuinely love and crave their unique flavoring and texture. It’s perfectly balanced, creamy, and truly irresistible, which is high praise coming from me!
We adore the atmosphere of this original location; the unique vibes make the whole experience feel special. It’s truly a cozy and welcoming spot.
I was definitely disappointed to miss out on my favorite Carrot Cake Cupcakes this time, but that just means a return trip is in order! I’ll be back soon to snag those!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best frosting in town!

So thankful to find a place that carries Egg free (Vegan) cupcakes for our allergy kiddo!! It helped that they were delicious too! The vibe was wonderful and the kids loved sitting inside a cupcake while eating their cupcakes! No wonder this place has won awards for YEARS!!!

We’ve tried Flying Cupcake for their gluten free offers a few times and each time it’s been terribly dry and has wound up going into the trash. I am leaving this as 2 stars because they actually have gluten free baked goods.. sadly, they’re far inferior to other gluten free baked goods we’ve had around Indianapolis.

Stopped in for a treat when work took me to Carmel. There was one person working the cupcake case and the register, and they were a delight!
Upon entering your eyes are bombarded with cute pastel decor and tables and booths for parties. Its a lot for the eye to take in so if “cluttercore” is not your thing maybe order online for pickup. Lots of customers doing that, with a “pickup table” to the left of the cupcake case. The storefront offers many little things to buy besides food; like stuffed animals, enamel pins, breath mints, clothing with the company logo on it, and so many other things! If cute is what you aim for this establishment knocks it out of the park!
They also sell custom cakes! And “pupcakes” which are, as the name suggests cupcakes for your dogs, super cute idea!
The cupcakes themselves are large in size, and at almost $6 per they should be. The frosting to cake ratio is palatable. Fair warning it is a lot of cupcake for a single sitting but, they are moist and not too sweet and if you really believe in yourself, you can eat it all up! Rich is a good description for flavor. Of course the “Red Velvet Elvis” is their best seller, filled with fat chocolate chips and topped with a sweetened cream cheese frosting and a splash of nonpareils as decoration. Its unbelievably tasty. I also recommend their other flavors such as vanilla birthday cake, and a wedding cake flavor which has a hint of almond in it and is really more elevated as far as taste goes.
Chocolate cakes, carrot cakes, gluten-free cakes, oh my! There really is something offered here to satisfy the sweet tooth of any palette!

I LOVE The Flying Cupcake!! Their cupcakes are always moist and the icing is never too sweet. I was in and the girl that took care of me was sooo sweet she asked me what the best part of my day had been so far. I wanted to tell her that it was actually her caring enough to ask me that question. So I’m sorry I don’t know her name but she worked Sunday so could you tell her she made me say brighter and to never change. Thank you for hiring caring people while making amazing cupcakes!!

Absolutely LOVE The Flying Cupcake. We visit or pre-order for every special occasion. Love all the specialty things like the Dolly cupcakes and got a Valentine’s. Excited for all the treats I ordered for an upcoming shower. Super friendly and always great with communication when we’ve done pre-orders.

We ordered seven dozen mini cupcakes for a milestone birthday party. The staff was wonderful about helping us select flavors which would be popular with our guests. Everything was ready right on time and we heard rave reviews of all the cupcakes. They were very cute and made for a beautiful table. We’ll definitely be eating more treats from Flying Cupcake! (note – the display is ours)

The place looks so amazing, I liked it so much, the girls working there are soooo friendly. For my taste cupcakes doesn’t taste so good, are expensive, probably for the size because are big. But will never buy them.

I ordered a cake from here for my 30th birthday. I called and spoke to Amanda, who was fantastic and the only reason this review has any stars at all. My husband and I went to pick it up and the order was incorrect. Instead of apologizing and offering a solution, my husband had to ask for it to be remade. When I entered the store, I was asked if they could use the correct colored icing on top of the incorrect color if I wanted them to scrape it off and start over. The writing to begin with looked a little sloppy and was black instead of white. (I ordered a heart shaped cake with vanilla icing and white writing; which is pretty popular right now, so not that difficult or uncommon). What we were told and what was happening were two different things. We were told that the decorator was working to fix it. No big deal, should’ve taken 15 minutes tops, right? Wrong. After waiting for 45 minutes (on a day when you’re hosting people), we were presented with a cake that looked like my 9 year old nephew decorated. Very good for a 9 year old, but very poor for a business dedicated to it. I walked out at that point because I was very frustrated. My husband pointed out that the cake was worse than before and then the truth came out that the manager was working on it, not the decorator. I paid $30 for a cake that I could’ve made at home for $3 and had it look better. Be honest with your patrons and if you can’t do what they are asking well, tell them! I would’ve rather taken a cake that didn’t have all the elements I wanted than one that looks like a child decorated it. Also, if you’re going to make someone wait 45 minutes for an order that was made incorrectly (it was correctly written on the order form), apologize and offer a discount/to deliver.
