Absolutely phenomenal Puerto Rican style cuisine! The pulled pork was juicy, immensely flavorful, and included several amazing crispy skin pieces. There were half a dozen different styles of fried rice. I tried the seafood rice and it was amazing! The crispy chicharrones were perfect!
The ladies working behind the counter were extremely friendly and answered all our questions! Will definitely be coming back!

A very bad experience the clerk disrespected the customers just for asking the price of the food only for a rice is 20 dollars and scamming the customer priceless on the food threatening to call the police just for asking the price and saying that it is very high and discriminating for being Cuban Latinos

So this restaurant changed owners and names a few months ago. It is now called El Rincon del Buen Sabor. I have been going for the last two months with my friend who’s Cuban and she especially loves their Cuban pizza, which I didn’t even know about until she told me. It’s basically a really thick dough and they infuse the meat into the cheese instead of over it. The ham and cheese Cuban pizza is good. They have shakes (batidos) of “mamey” (mammee fruit, native to the Caribbean islands), and papaya shakes. They also have tropical juices like tamarind, soursop and passion fruit you don’t see a lot around here. The Cuban sandwich here was my first ever and filled me up for like a day with all the meat and veggies pressed in warm bread. It’s humongous. I also like their fried empanadas with meat and cheese. The owners are hardworking people from Cuba who really deserve to be recognized. Latinos may be familiar with the place but other ethnic backgrounds should give this restaurant a look. This is the closest to Miami/Cuban fare you will get in this city. Give it a try! They are open later on weekends.

The old food, a terrible customer service, the lady gets upset when she asks the price of the food a small portion of rice with seafood 20 dollars a consumer scam, discriminates against by your immigration status when asking if you are a citizen they intimidate with the police, they must close the place, they will also file a complaint to the city’s health department. I don’t recommend it instead.

I put in an order on their website , paid , and was given an email confirmation. I show up to the restaurant and was told they didn’t have my order , and that they didn’t use their own website to order. Only to use grubhub. I was then told to order a second time , and to figure out a refund on my own time. No help, only told that it’s not their problem and to order a second time in restaurant. Scammmmers

We purchased food to go and we weren’t disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The arroz con gandules tasted like we were back home in Puerto Rico. The rice with squid and octopus was delicious. The rice with pork and gandules was finger lickin delicious. We are new arrivals from N.Y.C. and have tried other so-called Puerto rican restaurants and after many disappointments we finally have found the real deal. Looking forward to trying their mondongo, sancocho and other soups. We have a little piece of Puerto Rico right here in Syracuse.

We order 2 Cuban sandwiches don’t waste your money this place is awful!!!! They made the sandwiches with hardly any meat , no pickles, mustard and they used American cheese instead of Swiss. Oh and they put lettuce and tomato on it. When I called to ask what was this the employee proceeded to tell me oh they made it wrong you can bring it back. Will never order from them again.
