So got say the food , staff and the place itself is pretty good especially for the prices.
Made the mistake of thinking the portions were small since saw someone’s food plate not knowing that theirs was half ( got it in two plates idk at time) so I ordered Piedmont Omelette and a chicken wrap since eat breakfast and take lunch to go.
The omelette was good but honestly the biscuit and potatoes were the stars of meal for me.
As for the wrap it was good since it didn’t fall apart like some places do and the chicken was very tasty with the bacon.
If you are looking for some good breakfast and also a place near many other things to walk to after eating to walk the food off ,great location.

We had a pretty good experience. Be prepared to wait a bit. This seems to be pretty popular amongst locals.
We were seated after about 30 minutes on a Saturday morning. Service was great and food was pretty good. I enjoyed my omelette and the gravy was better than expected. I think it’s made with chicken as opposed to sausage. My wife loved her combination. For some reason plates were hot, but grits weren’t as hot in temperature as we would’ve liked. We’re definitely going back to try other menu items.

Absolutely LOVED it!! The food was so good we will definitely be back. The biscuit was delicious, the grits were perfect, and the creme anglaise was to die for (I made sure to take some to go regardless of the extra charge). The service was stellar, we had a great server (shout out to Faith) and she made sure our waters were full, coffee was hot, and experience was the best. Would recommend!!

Tofu scramble: 0/10
Definitely not a tofu scramble. They need to work on this dish with a vegan consultant. Over-marinated tofu, texture was all wrong, cubed pieces instead of scrambled crumble, brown, just clearly not thought through at all. Awful execution. Had to send it back.
Showed the waitress what a tofu scramble is supposed to look like and her response was “see, now that looks appetizing.”
Benny: 5/10 she said it was fine, but plain. Said the hollandaise seemed like it came from a can.

We visited on a Sunday early afternoon. There was a 30-40 minute wait which I expected but the problem was somehow we got missed on the list. If I hadn’t gone to ask after I realized it had been longer than the projected 30 minutes who knows when we would have been seated. However we had a great server ( hate I forgot his name) but we shared my dad had to catch a flight and he made sure he had us done in time. Our food was okay. Many of our entrees were not as described like the waffles that had scrambled eggs instead of the fried egg. I enjoyed the chicken sausage but as a whole my party gave the meals a 6.5/10 with a okay experience but not one you would feel you needed to experience again.

Did not have to wait long for a table. Food was very good! I would say the Bloody Mary was good but ours came with no celery stuff but we saw everyone else’s Bloody Mary came out fully loaded. Other than that the food and atmosphere was great. Would come again.

First visit! Easily seen and accessible from Governor’s Drive. I was greeted at the door with smiles, seated immediately on a busy Saturday morning. I am outside on the balcony where I have a nice sunny area that has shades to pull down if necessary. The traffic noise is the only thing that can be a little much. My server came to greet me, offered his favorite menu items and gave me time to browse the menu. I went for the Tofu veggie scramble that also came with the world’s fluffiest biscuit and cranberry apple butter that was delicious! It was served so quickly, fresh, hot and delicious!

Went for the first time today. They brought our drinks and appetizers quickly. A waitress came out and said they’d made an extra hangover hash if we’d like to try it.. and we accepted. It was so delicious, we had to make ourselves stop so that we could try the things we ordered. We sat for another twenty minutes or so.. and the waiter came over and asked if we wanted a box. We said we’d probably need more than one, but that our food we ordered hadn’t come, and told him how we got the hangover hash by chance. He looked confused, and disappeared a couple of times. I knew something was off. He came back and said our ticket had disappeared somehow, but that our meal would be comped. I said that wasn’t necessary at all.. we were pleased so far and not upset about anything.. but they insisted and did it anyway. 3 free entrees, an appetizer, and two sodas for no charge.. over something we weren’t even remotely upset about. That is going above and beyond in my book!
All the food was delicious. We would go back based on that alone, but the service was great throughout. Go check them out!

I have returned a few times since my original review and am happy to say that The Flying Biscuit is keeping the food and service at a high level! Lynn and the rest of the staff are super friendly. Everyone I have brought or referred has left happy. This place is destined to become a Huntsville institution!
