I stopped by again this week, and this time I really got to take in all the awesomeness.
The music selection is light, upbeat, and fun, which sets a great vibe.
The staff was personable and welcoming.
I loved the inspirational sayings and sunflowers on the walls—they add such a cheerful touch.
The food was good overall. I ordered eggs, chicken and waffles, and French toast. The only hiccup was the waffle — it was cooked and firm on one side, but cold and soggy on the other. Not sure what happened there ♀️
Still a great spot in Parkside Town Commons, and I’d definitely come back.
Food was only a one star, our server was great, 5 stars. Wouldn’t come back. I ordered my eggs sunny side up and the white was still completely uncooked around the yolk which was not noticeable from the start because of the gravy. I send it back and received the eggs properly done on an overbaked/stale biscuit that was dry and I couldn’t eat. The sausage gravy was just meh and the grits didn’t come with a side of butter. My husbands steak was tasteless.
The grits and potatoes and biscuits are good as heck, but everything else is slightly above average, which is fine.
The staff is always very honest and kind and the atmosphere is like your punk rock grandma’s kitchen.
I recommend coming here with family or to cure a hangover.
