Came from Bismarck to see Sue the Cow! Firstly, cheese curds were THE BEST probably the best cheese curds this side of the state! Secondly service was so nice!! I ordered the strawberry salad and they don’t always have the produce on hand since it’s not ordered much AND THEY WENT TO THE STORE TO GET THE FRUITS!! And it was a great salad, even had another serving left that I could take home and enjoy later!
The bar was a little empty but the fair was in town and it was early afternoon so that was just my timing. Looks like a fun place to do on a Saturday night! Bet it gets busy! Will 100% be returning for cheese curds!

I visited The Fluffy Owl Bar & Grill about 7PM on a Tuesday night so not to much of a crowd. Looked like the only place to eat in New Salem that time of night. Great experience. Staff was very helpful and honestly concerned if I was happy. If Bar & Grill had been packed wall to wall maybe things would be different so I’m happy to have had the great experience I did.
I had a bacon cheese Berger with onion rings. Can’t remember when I had onion rings that good. The onion rings were perfectly fried to perfection.
Cozy surroundings. Higher tables available in the middle of the room for groups of 4. Lower tables with benches were available for a more contemporary seating.
Greatly enjoyed the visit. While talking with the staff found out there were a number of activities for visitors to participate in, just check with the staff.

Stopped here for lunch during a road trip from Oklahoma and through North Dakota. Despite looking like a regular old bar from the outside, it was a kid friendly perfect place to stop for lunch in a tiny town. The food was good and the service was great! Would definitely stop again if we are ever up this way again.

Really disappointed with the Ribeye. Small and thin for like $35.
The wings weren’t good either. I’m not a fan of breaded wings and they had a fatty/rubbery texture.

I would give this a 0 if I could BECAUSE they process all cards through square and can’t give a paper receipt and just automatically put a 25% tip on the bill. Then when I questioned it the waitress and owner both said well you could have hit the amount and I’m like NO I didn’t touch the waitress phone! So they are scamming for 25% tips. It wouldn’t be such a big deal but the LADY OWNER basically chewed US out and accused US of hitting the tip button at first. I am in the top 30% of restaurant reviewers on Google and never IN MY LIFE have I been treated like that from an OWNER of a business. She should have been APOLOGIZING profusely and given us a discount on the bill. But we left with a reversed amount pending On our card for 3 to 5 days PLUS we paid the bill then in cash . I don’t care if it WAS their busy weekend of the year the treatment by who i was told by the waitress that was the owner was absolutely HORRIFIC!! I said who charges a 25% tip without telling people?? She then said well it’s standard to charge 20% and I said where’s your sign that says that???? Any restaurant puts a sign up and says automatic 18% gratuity of 8 or more well we were 2 people!!! She made me CRY she was so awful!!!

Had a blast here for their grand opening! Live band, good drink prices and friendly staff. Never had to wait for the servers or bartender. They have pool tables, touch tubes jukebox, 2 dart boards and a small dance floor!

The guy that made our pizza was very friendly and helpful. The girl behind the bar was the opposite. She was too busy standing at the bar talking with her friend. She acted like it was an inconvenience to ring us up for our food.

Cute small town dive bar. Usually some interesting old cowboys at the bar. People are friendly, drinks are cheap. Girlfriend like the e pull tab machines.
