The Flint is a great spot located in downtown Albany. The space is stylish and clean, with a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly, helpful, and quick.
The food is excellent, from the burgers to the seafood and meat dishes, everything is flavorful and well-prepared. The spinach dip is especially tasty and definitely worth trying. The drinks are also well crafted, and the background music, a mix of soul, funk, and R&B, sets a perfect mood for the evening.
The only downside, unfortunately, is the location. While the restaurant itself is great, the surrounding area can feel a bit unsafe at times, depending on who’s around. That said, if you’re comfortable with the neighborhood, the dining experience at The Flint is definitely worth it. See you next time!

Our waiter Di’angelo was great! Very nice and attentive. The bartender however was a mess. After the third time our waiter went to get our drinks I heard him loudly say “you’ll just have to wait.” To Di’angelo (even though he had been waiting about 20 minutes for a few beers). The food was great though. This chef knows what he is doing and other than the wait on drinks it was a great experience.

Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures. The food was excellent. I would come for just the wings. The lamb chops were superb and cooked to perfection. The dressing was excellent. The portion size was amazing. My sister rarely eats chicken but she loved the wings. I am originally from Albany but moved back to Georgia after 50 years. I will highly recommend the food and found the service to be excellent as well. The owners took time to come and talk with me. The experience all around was amazing@

food was delicious! i can’t recommend the potato soup & lamb chops more. The wine selections were great too, my server was very sweet. My only suggestion to the restaurant is to pay more attention at the front by the host stand when customers come in, because i was waiting for a while before i decided to wander in. I also feel like the presentation of the actual food could have been better, but the delicious taste is really what matters (& is most important!) For my first time in Albany, I’m glad i stopped by The Flint it was great!

Absolutely terrible experience!
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. We waited nearly 20 minutes to be seated, only to find dirty tables with crumbs and stains on the plates. When we pointed this out, the host made no effort to clean or replace them.
The service was extremely unprofessional! We were never introduced to our server, and it took almost 50 minutes just to receive water. The other drink we ordered never arrived at all.
After an hour of waiting and poor treatment, we decided to leave. Hoping for accountability, we spoke to the owner, who shockingly showed no concern. His exact words were, “What do you want me to do about it?” No apology, no attempt to make things right…just complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good service or a clean, welcoming dining experience.

I have to visit Albany for work once per month. This is now my restaurant for dinner every time I go now! I sat at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He made an excellent sidecar martini, too! For dinner I had a side salad, stuffed flounder, and asparagus. ALL of the food was delicious! Very flavorful! Looking forward to dinner here, again. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Albany

We stopped here on the way to Disney and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Service was great and our food was delicious! I got the stuffed flounder with grits and greens, and my fiancé got the lamb chops with mac n cheese and asparagus. Asparagus had a great char and the portion of lamb chops was filling. The sauce on the flounder was also really good. The food came out really fast. We will be back!

You MUST add this restaurant to your dining list when visiting Albany, GA. Chef G’s culinary skills are amazing. We had the Catfish Fillets with sides and everything was outstanding!!! Dane, our server was outstanding as well, such friendly people. We will be back!

I was recommended this place while in town. The Georgia Peach drink was delicious. I ordered the steak medium but it came out well done, salty and drowning in grease/butter. I should have sent it back but the service was already pretty slow and I didn’t want to wait. I’d maybe return to try something else but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Heard the raves in the area by locals. There was no wait. Our server was Jasmin, she was on top of everything we needed and very nice. We started with the fire lemonhead drink, your choice of liquor. Jasmin set the lemon and sugar on fire at the table. A fun way to start your meal! After ordering our food, it did not take too long for the food to make it to the table. The lamb chops looked gorgeous and tasted even better. The grilled chicken sandwich was amazing too, great flavor and a flavorful sauce to dip chicken in. I changed out my cheddar cheese for parmesan on my loaded baked potatoe, delicious! The Flint is worth every bit of their raves; the service, food and atmosphere are 5 out of 5.
