Dad and I are in Tucson-Benson today and we stopped by the Pima Air and Space Museum, with 2 hours into us oohing and ahhing at 3 hangers we needed to sit to eat. We’re in a museum expected us to have like normal amusement park/basic grill food. Oh my God were we wrong!

Dad had the burger and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The buns were buttered and grilled perfectly the vegetables on both were fresh and you could tell not out of the bag. The pickles were thick like homemade. I had the fruit cup with the best blueberries I’ve had in a while, and dad’s fries were great too if not a little cold since we were enjoying the sandwiches so much. Like legit loved them so much. If you need a decent bite for $15 with a side and drink def go here!!

Surprisingly good food given it’s a simple (and only) food option in the museum. You can see different planes on outdoor display while eating!

We ordered one fried chicken sandwich and one Sonoran hotdog (a Tucson specialty!). I’m pleasantly impressed by both food. The chicken is simple but crispy without too much heavy spices. The dog is covered with salsa and chilli beans.
First time trying this version of the hotdog and I like it!

You can also get refill drinks which is a nice add on from the scorching hot temperatures outside.

the chicken sandwich didn’t have much meat in it and the food was pretty decent, i fw the tuna melt. pretty good. not a lot of food and overpriced, but it wasn’t bad. very good sauce selection. they have malt vinegar. atmosphere is good. overall 3 stars way

Museum is amazing and the food was okay. My Caesar salad was a salad. The fruit cup was fresh. It’s more of a “snack bar” or cafe vibe but, the price doesn’t really line up. $30 for a salad, chicken strips, a side of fries, and a side of fruit. The sides were $3.50 each and in hindsight what jacked up the price. I gave 3 stars because, I’d probably come back and the atmosphere on the porch is wonderful!

The food was awful. French fries soggy and greasy. Chicken tenders, greasy. Pizza inedible. You should be ashamed to put out such food at such prices.

Please be aware this restaurant is inside the museum and you have to pay for entry to even get into the restaurant. Not sure if this Google page even says that we drove over here and found out that you have to pay to the museum entry to even get into the restaurant. It’s a waste of time. It needs to be highlighted or taken off Google because it’s not appropriate for that to be that way

The Flight Grill used to be known for providing excellent meals in years past. I’ve been visiting the museum for 20+ years and always looked forward to eating lunch there. Sadly, the new revised restaurant operation has ruined what was once a great experience. The quality of the food has declined greatly while the prices have soared.

Gone is the delicious, hand-dipped ice cream in a variety of flavors. All that’s available now are prepackaged items typically found in your basic gas station convenience store.

Many visitors to Tucson know that it’s famous for its signature Sonoran Hot Dog and The Flight Grill used to serve one of the best in the city: a bacon-wrapped hot dog grilled and served on a soft, warm bolillo-style hot dog bun, then topped with pinto beans, sautéed onions, pico de gallo, and a variety of additional condiments, such as mayonnaise, mustard, Mexican crema, and jalapeño salsa. These days The Flight Grill is charging $14 for an overcooked hot dog on a regular cold bun sprinkled with onions, Kraft shredded cheddar cheese, and a minuscule dollop of Mexican crema. That is NOT a Sonoran Hot Dog! I literally had one bite and found it so revolting that I threw the rest in the trash where it belonged.

First time at the boneyard and couldn’t be happier! I’ve always loved planes and I’ve always loved food as well but I’m giving this grill 3 stars not because of the chicken, salad or fries. All of that was great. It’s the fact that it’s just a cafe/snack bar which I’ve tasted before. Loved the experience and definitely see myself coming back.

Good food. A bit pricey depending on what you get but it’s a museum so what do you expect?

03/10/2025 Eat before or after you visit the Pima Air and space museum. The food is literally garbage and they charge you an arm and a leg. The website, for the food prices, have not been updated in at least 3 years. Besides the quality decline, the $8.00 burgers turned into $15.00. One pizza slice $6.00. Little Caesars is $6.50 for a whole pie! The hot dogs are Dead on arrival (forgive the pun) They we’re overcooked and tasteless. I could go on, we were a large group who ordered different things. It was all terrible! And definitely not worth the price! Also, the girl at the register was quite arrogant and rude, not even knowing the menu! She works there, you’d think she’d know what came with what on the menu, right? No, we had to show her the menu! This cafeteria style restaurant was clean and the views from the windows were very nice but the bad taste in our mouth, from the food, will not be forgotten! The Flight Grill needs a major overhaul!!!
