Today’s lunch was not just some of the best seafood I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a LOT in many states) it was some of the best food! We ordered Grouper, oysters, and shrimp fried and all were perfection-not greasy as often served. My broiled scallops were flawless and delicate. The hush puppies were also perfect and oh! so good. Our sides were great compliments to our choices especially the Feta slaw. Our server was Sheryl and she was everything a server should be and helped make this friends lunch something special!

Whew.
Worth every single dime (and I mean every dime, HA! budget accordingly ). The food is fresh, flavorful, and cooked with love.
The string beans? Seasoned like somebody’s grandma was in the back.
The rice? Fluffy and delicious.
The whole fish? Top tier.
Popcorn shrimp? Dangerously good.
And the hush puppies? Honestly tasted like someone deep-fried Thanksgiving dressing balls and I mean that in the best way possible.
Heads up: there’s a bit of a wait, but that’s just the price of freshness. Nothing sits under a heat lamp here.
I’ll definitely be back… once my wallet recovers.

I loved my Tuscan salmon, my husband liked his fish and shellfish combo, daughter was not a fan of her gumbo (she didn’t realize it would be spicy) The alligator bites were ok.
The service was friendly and pretty quick, if only people wouldn’t keep opening doors. The drafts were pretty chilly.

Absolutely horrible!!!! It makes me so sad to say this. As a kid we went here all the time and had such great memories. But tonight single handedly trashed that.
We let the staff know that we were there to celebrate my parents’ 51st wedding anniversary. Our appetizer came out about 20 minutes after we ordered it after having to ask about it twice. Once the entrees came out (after quite a long wait) my wife’s dish didn’t come. We let the waitress know, and even then after about 15 minutes…nothing. My father went to talk to the manager who assured him he was on it. 10 minutes later…nothing. I then went to the manager to inform him that they needed to make this right and we expect this meal to be covered by the house. The manager informed me that they would only be covering the late meal and the late oysters. He had the worst customer service attitude I have ever experienced at a restaurant. After waiting for another 10 minutes without my wife’s food coming to the table, my father and I both went to the manager to express our frustration and our expectation that they make things right. The manager started threatening that he would have us removed from the restaurant if we made a scene. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. The antagonistic response from the manager was mind-blowing.
Thankfully a woman who seemed to be an assistant manager came over to us and assured us that our meal would be covered. For what it’s worth, our waitress was trying to make the best of the situation handed to her. I don’t think it was her fault. It seemed like the issue was with the kitchen and manager. I don’t know if the owners of this restaurant read these comments, but you need to reevaluate the employment of your manager in charge on Sunday 12/28. Whoever the female assistant manager was needs to replace him and/or get a raise.
I highly doubt my family will ever step foot here again.

I had the fish and chips. Huge serving. The fish was basa which was very good and moist. He had the catfish po-boy. The only downfall was the lunch special posted on their website did not exist.

Had an amazing time with my husband the food brought us back home for a moment to Puerto Rico it’s been a while since we had meal that reminded us of the food back home. Our server Jorge made our experience even better with his great service and attention to detail. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly and the parking space is super accessible.

My salmon was amazing and my Merlot and my mango margarita. Those are my favorites from here. They are always very polite. They have wonderful service and the facilities are clean. The parking is kinda tight but overall it’s wonderful. Plenty of selections to choose from. I will be back of course.

I usually go to the Downtown/Southside location. I’m not fond of the Hoover location. Service was subpar at best. Food quality was still good. Food was still tasty. But I did not enjoy my experience dining at the Hoover location. I did not feel welcome at all. I will not return to the Hoover location. Back to the Southside I go.
The stuffed grouper was tasty. My boyfriend prefers shrimp and Grits from Fish Market versus anywhere else.

The food was great. Our server started out strong but right before our appetizer came out he was given a party of 20-24 with several children. He seemed overwhelmed and all of his attention went to them. It took about 50 minutes after our appetizer to get our food. A very nice lady, I think she was the manager, delivered our check and some to go boxes. She said if our server didn’t return she would be back by. Our server returned looking a little frazzled.
There are lots of items on the menu we want to try so we will return.
