Come watch great stages acts on Friday and Saturday nights from Vakenn and Bad Things to Black Pearl Band of New Mexico and Austin Van!!
Eat an absolutely delicious meal in The Crown Room (with reservations) then slip on over to the Lounge for a show. The menu is prefix @ $49.99/person and worth it. Crafted drink menu too. My wife and I went with the expectations of a small portion meal. We brought home leftovers!!

Ok, now side from that, the Cafe will full your belly with delicious chef cooked meals as well. Crazy great prices!!!! The Downs Double burger is my fave!!! WOW! Another great thing, you can order in the lounge and be served in the lounge as well without having to go to the café. Look out for the server, she doesn’t talk and moves kinda like a robot… oh wait, because she is!! Fun to see.

Now it may seem like I’m biased because we host our watch parties (Denver Broncos Fans of New Mexico) at the First Turn Lounge inside the casino building. The truth is a spoken. Come see for yourself!! Secure facility inside and out.
They have happy hour with great drinks and food!

I am the founder and president of the official Denver Broncos fan group here in New Mexico. On Facebook, DENVER BRONCOS FANS OF NEW MEXICO. If you come to any watch party you can receive a punch card (for Super Bowl giveaways *see pics). The more watch parties, the more punches. Each full card give you an opportunity to win a great prize.
Even if football isn’t your thing, come on for lunch, come with a coworker and enjoy a really good meal, like the wings or The Downs Double Green Chile Cheeseburger!

Always clean, always friendly staff. Rev has gone out of his way to make this a go to venue!

A great place for local talent to perform. You can tear up the dance floor too.

A great outdoor patio overlooking the track.

We love to dance, but This Lounge with a beautiful dance floor is NOT used for dancing. They filled it with table and chairs. It’s such a shame; they could have a larger dance floor, dancers are always looking for a large dance areas.
We went dancing there last weekend, and they had one table nearly in the center of the dance floor. I banged into the edge of the table and ended up with a black bruise. Please give us plenty of space to dance, there are plenty of room between each sets of tables and chairs, so just push them back and be done with. Thank you!

The food and service were ok. There could have been more servers for New Year’s Eve. The band, Black Pearl out did themselves.
Now the manager was very rude and unprofessional. He is not a people person and not manager material.

In town for the balloon fiesta and my sister and Aunt and I went to this casino by her house. They were closing the bar at 840pm as I walked up. First off, how do you have a casino without a bar open until at least til 10pm? And it’s ballon fiesta week with tons of people in town. Not cool. The people that worked there were telling us to go to a different casino cause this one sucks. We didnt want to drive another another 30 minutes to the next casino. The casino part of this place was cozy and cool but cmon man let a person get a beer….and lose more money. Disappointed

We try to attend the NFL football games each Sunday. Food is good and reasonable.

Since we come for the early games there are very few people there. Some of the issues we (and others) face each week:
1. Viewing area opens 15-20 minutes after the games start.
2. Bartender won’t change channels to games we’d like to see in a specific area. He doesn’t want to walk “all the way” over there.
3. Won’t take food orders after 12 noon.
4. Following week, won’t take food orders unless we are drinking alcoholic drinks.

We really enjoy the atmosphere and conversing with other fans but this is beginning to become ridiculous.

Changes in management have turned a once good place to go into a place not to go. Staff tries, but lack of leadership is evident. No clue what sporting events are on, no clue how to get TVs working. No more simulcast racing because tote machines never on, extreme price increases on drinks. (7/draft beer!!) Save your money!

Apparently my last review got taken down, so I will repost. First off, the staff need customer service lessons. Secondly, Savanah the bartender needs a different job. She acts like it is a burden to fix a cherry coke and a glass of water, that is, after me having to play a lively round of “chase the bartender”. They do NOTHING to promote or sell drinks. I guess they’re happy being a low- class dive bar

The place has lots of room to move around. I didn’t stay until the band started playing but I’d imagine it can get packed with no problem at full capacity. Lots of screens devoted to the main sports events of that evening. Alcoholic drink was average. Not to strong but enough to give a slight tingle. I would go back no doubt.
