Food was amazingly good for us just hunting brunch close by on Google Maps. Easy access off of 161 in the Epic complex. Our server Alex was very courteous and attentive.

We had: orange mimosa, lemon drop mini martini, blackberry lavender splash, donut holes, brunch royale smash burger x2 with one properly edited for milk allergy, smoked bacon melt, and steak & eggs. Drinks were a bit on the alcohol heavy side but still tasty. Donut holes warm and great with the 3 dips- kids ate almost all of them by the time I was done washing my hands. Oh, bathrooms were very clean and smelled nice and citrus-sy(?). Smash burger done well with good sauce and patty not overcooked. The fries were nice and crunchy. Me and my son didn’t leave anything on the burger plates. Toasted buns were a nice touch. Bacon melt was pretty big and sloppy, but great components. Daughter said the steak was perfectly cooked at requested medium rare, and the eggs were a nice runny over easy.

Good view of the lake in the middle of the complex. The staff seemed quite friendly with good banter between from what I could see, which is always a good sign for how management treats their employees. Thumbs up. Would come again.

Our server, Deshawn, was attentive, polite, and frank. His opinion of the food was 100% accurate. Thank you Deshawn! We ordered quite a lot of food and for the most part they were all delicious and the portion was about right. In my opinion the chicken in the Buffalo Chicken Salad was too tangy and over fried; hence, it was difficult to chew. Finally, the view of the fountain show from inside the restaurant was great too.

For a Thanksgiving gathering we opted to skip all the cooking and clean up and we decided to try the Finch and their Thanksgiving menu

This is a trendy establishment. The decor, fixtures, location, etc are all appealing and somewhat swanky. There are delicious looking entrees and drinks to choose from, but again we came for the Thanksgiving meal which was hearty and delicious. We each received a large plate with most of the typical Thanksgiving staples (or at least a twist on those classics). We also got a choice of salad or French onion soup as a starter and cheesecake or bread pudding for dessert

I would say the menu and the restaurant itself are slightly upscale, but I don’t feel like the staff were overly upscale. I feel like many of the patrons were far dressier than the servers. The servers and management didn’t seem overly refined. We had a reservation and we ended up waiting 10-15 minute for a table. There were plenty of tables available, and someone in our party used a cane, but they would only seat us at a high top that wasn’t ideal. Also, at different times we could overhear the conversations of staff, and they were often complaints or things they probably didn’t want us to hear

I would try this restaurants regular menu again, and maybe the service issues were one-offs… that and it was the holidays, and I feel for staff who have to work during the holidays

Some tips:
There is a neat water fountain feature outside the restaurant in a common/park area that has dancing streams and is a great place to stroll or take a break and enjoy nice weather

There is also plenty of parking out front

Cheers!!

My sisters and I did our Christmas brunch at the Finch and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the drinks were absolutely on point. Our server KJ oh my goodness I can’t say enough about KJ, she was awesome and attentive to our needs. We did not have to ask for anything twice. She was on top of everything for our group of 6. Will definitely be back and this will be our spot moving forward.

First time in the Lone Star State and this has by far been my favorite experience. The Vegas style light/water show is what got me here but the food, drinks, and my server is what made me want to stay. My taste buds were indecisive but thankfully Bryan (my AMAZING server) hit every suggestion right on the head. I started with an off menu item, the Finch’s take on a sushi roll – perfectly cooked sticky rice crowned with tuna, cilantro, jalapeno, and a sauce to die for drizzled on top. Next, I was split between a couple dishes and asked Bryan to surprise me. He did not disappoint! He brought out the ravioli dish with a filet on the side – best of both the carb and protein worlds. The raviolis were perfectly proportioned with the right amount of flavorful cheese filling and my filet mignon was cooked exactly how I prefer (medium rare). The pairing was fantastic. Of course I’m getting dessert. I ordered the creme brulee which could be split with a friend. But, let’s be honest . . . I don’t share dessert. It was that classic sweet and perfectly hardened caramel top that broke just right and complimented the soft filling hiding inside. The fruit was also ripe and proportioned just right. Not too sweet and not flavorless. Next up was my absolute favorite drink – an old fashion. But, this wasn’t your typical old fashion your pappy from the 1900s sipped on. This was THEE old fashion. A Brown Sugar Old Fashion to be exact! Zero bite, one hundred percent YES. Any description I give will not do it justice so make sure to order one when you come here. To end this beautiful experience, an espresso martini. I never thought I could say this BUT, it was almost better than my old fashion … ALMOST. The aroma was reminiscent of cafecito con pan. A true staple in my foodie heart. If you’re like me and you believe that the food you taste and the caliber of that food is truly affected by the service and experience provided to you then you’ll understand when I say that this meal and experience was truly elevated by my server. Bryan, muchas gracias por su authenticidad y servicio. You made my experience here more than I thought it would be in all the best ways. A true asset and diamond! Hasta luego

Came to this spot for my birthday and could not have been more pleased! Our server was Alex (trust me…ask for her) and she provided excellent customer service. She gave great food recommendations and she was right because the food was fabulous! The atmosphere was very nice – the establishment was clean, comfortable, and right near the water. Did I mention the food was great?!!!

We had an amazing experience at The Finch, and a huge part of that was thanks to Philip! From the moment we arrived, he provided exceptional service and made our celebration feel truly special.

Philip was incredibly attentive, professional, and thoughtful throughout the entire evening. He made sure our large group was taken care of, checked in regularly, and handled everything with such ease and a great attitude. It’s not always easy managing a big group celebrating a birthday, but he made it look effortless.

Because of his outstanding service, our night was smooth, fun, and memorable.

If you visit The Finch, definitely ask for Philip — he will take great care of you!

Thank you for helping make our celebration so wonderful!

Nice restaurant in a pretty setting. Large windows and comfortable seating. Definately make reservations because it is busy. Good service. Food was good. We had the buffalo chicken salad, coconut shrimp, sweet potato fries, and oatmeal cookie dessert coffee. I was not a fan of the breading on the coconut shrimp, but the shrimp was good, as well as the dipping sauce. Really liked the dessert coffee. We ate here before going to a concert at Texas Trust theatre. The Finch was a good restaurant pick.

This was a very nice vibe and atmosphere, the service was decent, but the food and the drinks were on point.
1st the Momosa came in a very nice large cold craft and champaign was ice cold as well, it was nice you got a small side craft for your champaign mixer pinapple, orange or canberry juice. We ordered the eggs with cheese and alvacado soft flour taco’s it was good but you might want tp add a chicken tender for a meaty taste. Next I had the “Honey Chicken and waffle”. This was spot on the waffle was hot and crisp and the two chicken tendors were moist, hot crunchy on the outside and full of flavor, it was the star of the show I wish it came with 4 or 5 vs the 2 it came with so so so good.
We ate at the bar for faster service and our server was very attentive to our needes. Rest rooms very clean as well. Happy place good fpod and will be back.
Surprisingly spent less than $50.00 fpr two for the Brunch and well worth it.

We were seated quickly, without a reservation. Meatball appetizer was very good, short rib was great – unusual flavors that worked well together. Husband’s Hawaiian ribeye was good, but could have used a little salt and pepper. Kitchen was extremely efficient. Top notch service from Phillip.
