Disappointingly small portions. I decided to try their fish and chips to go after seeing it on their toast page. I wish I would have read the physical menu as it lists the fish portion as 6oz. At $17 after tax and $20 after tip I guess I expected more than a slab of fish fit for a burger and a small handful of fries. I’ll admit I ate 3 of the fries before realizing just how little of everything I got but this is maybe an 11 dollar plate. It also lists cole slaw on the menu and maybe if that had been included I could pay $13 but this is definitely not worth it. Curiosity got the best of me and I broke out the scale. The fish weighed in at 3.8 oz. I know the fish lose a little weight while cooking but it seems like I got short changed on that as well. Definitely pass on this place for fish and chips if you are at all hungry.

I’ve found the best fries I’ve ever had here! The milkshakes are delicious, the staff is friendly, and the portions are just right.

So we stopped in for a quick bite, and the food was awesome, Burger was perfect, Curley Wedge Fries and Crunchy Tater Tot’s – all excellent, and of course the craft Beers ice cold. Service was spot on, as our waitperson had a great sense of humor in a teasing way that added to the fun.
What’s really cool too, is all the retro decor from old Texaco gas stations, antique toys etc. – gave us lot’s to talk about.
Only problems is – we live 5 blocks away – dam car has a mind of its own and just pulls right on in there.

What a wonderfully delicious hidden gem among an otherwise array of one shopping plaza after another. We pulled into a busy parking lot on a Monday night (always a good sign) and when you walk in there is a cute small bar with a beautiful center fireplace seating area. There are tables and booths that surround the theme of an old school gas station…but elevated. They have beer and cider on tap and license plates from all over the U.S. that adorn the ceilings. Not only do they have delicious burgers (chicken, fish and hamburgers) but they do have choices for vegetarians with a section called: “bowls” which are filling and big quinoa salads. You can add protein (it is extra but they have both vegetarian and meat options to add to your bowl) and it’s worth it. I added their falafel option and it was crumbly and delicious. This is a family friendly restaurant and at the time, their printer was broken so they didn’t have their kids menu printed but they had a choice of cheeseburger, grilled cheese or chicken strips. For sodas they have Pepsi products and Fanta (in a glass bottle). Their burger combos came with tater tots which are very crunchy and crispy. I would try them with their ranch dressing: the dressing had a unique dill flavor to it. My friend got the Jaguar burger which had blue cheese, bacon, grilled onions and despite those flavor combinations normally being a very strong flavor pallet, she said it was very subtle and a wonderful combination. With tax and tip we spent about $20.00 per person. Overall, the kids were very happy with their meals and my bowl was delicious and filling.

Tasty little restaurant, good spot to grab a burger and fries. I ordered the french dip burger and it had a lot of texture and flavor. The twisty fries were also super tasty, just shy of a potato wedge. Was a cute spot to visit on our trip.

My gut has been paying all night for the Chuckwagon. Very small burger for a big price… $15. $40 for burger/ fries and 2 HH cocktails. The happy hour (2-5) is very good, so stick with that menu if you can to get most bang for your buck. Service is spotty, oftentimes staff is more focused on socializing among themselves.

The filling station has changed and is not what it used to be. I have been visiting both locations since 2019 and previously was blown away by the flavor, quality and value. I only visit once a year as I don’t live in the area. During a recent visit, the waitress let us know that the patties are now smaller (1/6 lb). The ratio of meat to bun is now off – it’s too much bun and not enough meat. The patties used to be thicker and even spilled over the sides of the bun. You can add another thin patty for $4, but this is not the same quality as one larger patty. As for toppings on the burgers, they definitely seem to have cut back on those too. The flavor is still good but it doesn’t pack as much of a punch. I’m really bummed they got rid of the chuckwagon burger. That was such a unique burger and so delicious. I’m unsure if it’s worth coming back given all the changes. They should update the pictures online as they no longer reflect what the filling station burgers look like.

Fun place with a creative menu and good food. I really loved the Ranchero Bowl! I would have it again any time. My kid enjoyed the burger with curly wedge fries and a grilled cheese. Good happy hour options ($5 grilled cheese and onion rings!)

Love that their burgers are from grass-fed cows. The fries are kind of unique and they’re crunchy and have a good bite, pretty satisfying to eat. The burgers are grilled nicely with a crispy charred edge and didn’t taste too greasy. The garlic as aioli is really delicious — and worth trying.
