Food and drinks are great and owners are friendly (tried the pork buns). Background jazz music reminds me of cafes in Tokyo. Atmosphere is good…some low-top seating or a couch with a coffee table would make me want to come here to meet up with a friend for a quiet chat. Only has hi-top tables with bright lighting which are not as relaxing and comfortable.

This has got to be the best cafe in Waltham! It’s up there with Common Good at least. The coffee is great, the tea is great, the food is yummy, and the staff are spectacular! Definitely check it out if you live in the area and you like cafes with unique and creative food and drink options.

Super friendly! We ordered boba for Brandeis MMA club for a UFC watch party. Everyone loved the bubble tea, not too sweet.

This coffee shop doesn’t look like much from outside, but it’s very, very good! Quiet, relaxing atmosphere with excellent food and drinks.

We got the whole lemon tea and plum green tea for drinks. The whole lemon tea has an actual whole lemon! It was the better of the two teas. The plum green tea was ordered without the realization that it was the flavor of salted plum. That made the tea slightly salty and unexpected. The green tea was also VERY strong. It wasn’t terrible though!
The pastries were a miss. They were stale. Reheated stale pastries.
The staff were nice though.
Maybe skip the pastries, just get the tea.

Authentic Flavors in Waltham: A Must-Try Tianjin-Style Pancake. If you’re in Waltham and looking for brunch that’s both unique and delicious, you have to try the Tianjin-style pancake at The Fika Spot. This dish is a true standout, offering a taste of authentic Chinese street food right in the heart of the town.
The Tianjin-style pancake, is perfectly executed here. The pancake itself is thin and soft, generously filled with a savory mix of ingredients—crisp lettuce, aromatic scallions, and a spread of umami-rich hoisin sauce, all topped with a crunchy layer of fried dough. The combination of textures is incredible, and the flavors are balanced beautifully, with just the right amount of spice and sweetness.
What sets this dish apart is the authenticity in every bite. It’s clear that the café has stayed true to the traditional preparation methods, offering a pancake that’s both satisfying and true to its roots. Paired with a cup of their strong, freshly brewed coffee or a soothing tea, it’s the perfect meal to enjoy any time of day. Highly recommended!

I tried the classic croissant and the spinach ricotta croissant at this fika spot, and both were excellent! The classic croissant was perfectly crisp, buttery, and soft inside—exactly how a French croissant should be. The spinach ricotta croissant was equally impressive, with a savory filling that complemented the flaky pastry beautifully. Highly recommend if you’re looking for well-made, delicious croissants!
