First time going. We had the chicken fried steak, house salad, and the asparagus. It was delicious. The waitress was very nice, the service was excellent, the decor was perfect. The atmosphere was very, very nice. Loved the whole experience. Thank you Jason and Tasha for our meal. You are the greatest too.

Horrible experience! The manager was attentive to all tables but not ours. The chicken fried steak was awful and tough. It was like chewing bubble gum. All the bread was falling off so we requested to get something else. We told the manager and she brushed us off so we asked for the owner. When she came out she was rude and insinuated that we just wanted a free meal which was not the case at all. This was my first and last time eating at this restaurant. I would NOT recommend it at all!

Horrible experience. Walking in they tried real hard to put us at one of those tall tables (sorry, I hate them). We ordered our tea, got it without lemon, asked for lemon and was brought the tiniest slice of lemon I’d ever seen. Told the waitress I would gladly pay extra if she brought me some more so she did (didn’t get charged for them). All the food was very bland, no seasonings could be tasted. Ordered asparagus as a side and only got 3 spears that were almost completely black. We didn’t get our salads until well after we got the rest of our food (generally that comes first). This was my first and last time at this establishment. Price was not commensurate with quality, portion, and service.

The restaurant has great potential but they are not there yet.
The wait staff were very friendly. Restaurant was at about 1/2 capacity on a Friday evening at 6:00 PM. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye and my companion ordered chicken breast. The food was accurately cooked for doneness. The salad was really good blend of greens but they did not provide enough ranch dressing; said they had run out. We did not get served any crackers or bread. I hope they will start serving warm bread at the beginning of the meal. The waitress said we would get rolls with the meal; yet that did not happen until I asked. The rolls did not make it to the table until I had almost finished my steak. They did not put any butter with them – I asked for butter but did not get any until much later. Waitress served others before bringing the butter. Very disappointing.
It took more than 20 minutes to get the steak after we got the salads; way too long for a rare steak. Chicken breast was cooked perfect, moist and tender. I would rate the steak a 6 on a 10 scale. It was cut too thin for a steakhouse steak; I am certain it did not qualify as USDA Prime, and it had more than 1 0z of untrimmed fat, marbling was fair. The loaded mash potatoes were OK, could have used some more flavor. The rice for chicken was properly cooked.
Mark, the owner, did visit our table and asked about service. I shared the above comments. He did say that he had a party of 40 there earlier. I could not tell they were still there. I explained the weaknesses above; he said there was no excuse – but did not offer anything to make up for the issues I identified, did not get a thanks for being there.
Perhaps they will get better; I hope they pay more attention to food and service. I appreciate them choosing to put this restaurant in Crockett. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant. I rate them an overall 7 on a 10 scale because it has a really good modern East TX feeling to it.

The decor was decent and the people were very sweet but the steak I got was mostly fat and gristle. My friend got the burger and it was very unevenly cooked and he said it was so seasoned it tasted like a vegie burger. I ordered a side salad with no onion and it was the last thing I was brought, you guessed it, with onion. They need to make some serious changes.

Absolutely the WORST place I have ever been to! We got charged $50 for 3 burgers we couldn’t eat! It was burned, and dry! The patties were like hockey pucks. The onion rings were just a large burnt clump of batter and breading instead of individual rings. We couldn’t even eat the food hardly. We sent back 3 nearly full plates of food it was so bad. We waited over an hour to get food in the first place. We were later told they had lost our ticket after we had been kept waiting for 45 minutes. The food is absolutely horrible! Service is a joke. No bosses or managers on site per the girls working. None of them could figure out what to do. Thank goodness we didn’t order one of their $20 – $30 steaks to have it ruined. Definitely NOT worth the money or time to drive there!

This is the best place in Crockett Texas to eat hands! You’re missing out if you don’t stop by! The owners, staff, and cooks are all amazing. I give them a 10/10 on food & cleanliness.

I give it 3 Stars because the hamburger steak taste excellent but too small for a man.
I have eaten here several times and each time they only bring one small roll. The last trip I asked for a couple more rolls and when the bill came was charged $1.50 for the two additional rolls !

And as another said above you have to twist their arm to get sufficient butter.
I keep returning due to the great flavor of their hamburger steak.

I have tryed The Feedstore three times dinning there with terrible experiences. The first time everything I ordered they were out of, this was the second week they where open so I though they was working kinks out. The second time I ordered a steak med. Rare and it came out very well done it two trys sending it back. Then I have gotten the chicken salad trio to go several times it is excellent, a little pricey but enough food for two. My third dine in experience was the worse I ask if they had chicken bombs she said yes. Finally I was going to get the chicken bombs and I took one bit and they were raw inside. They appoligized and would get them right out. I was done. I have ordered the salad several times since then and today I thought I would get it again. I was charged a dollar more than what was on the menu and then charged a dollar for to go. So 14.06 for my lunch. When I opened it at my office it was half the size of the order before. I will not go there anymore.
