Super friendly family owned deli shop in Maynard and a must visit for all in the area. We were just checking out their shop and all the staff members welcomed us and spoke to us warmly. They have lot of baked items, groceries, deli and lot of good Italian food. Probably better than fine dining Italian restaurants. Must visit shop in the neighborhood and Definitely going again for their chicken salad sandwich. The cornbread we tried was just a dollar and simply delicious.

Wow. A long time ago, my grandmother took me here, and I remember thinking it was pretty good. I came back today, after many years, and I was blown away at my sub. I got the Firehouse (large) and it was very good. Everyone in the shop was very nice, and service was relatively quick. I’ll be sure to stop back here in the future.

Ordered two Turkey subs and the best part of the order was the bread. The turkey was bland and tasteless. Ordered cheddar cheese with them and it wasn’t much better than the turkey. Pricy sandwiches also! Very disappointed. John R

First off an extremely nice couple runs the shop, they both have smiles on their faces and were kind enough to let me try one of the most delicious meatballs I have had in a while (the wife’s moms recipe). Their menu is huge and has a variety of interesting things to try. I got the large Italian sub and it might have almost made my heart skip a beat with each bite I took because it was so good, packed with everything you would want on a true Italian. 10/10 place to try out, I highly recommend!

My first sandwich of 2021 was (yet another) Italian with extra hots from Family Delicatessen!!! This place is legit and the quality is amazing. The day they moved into town should be a holiday. If you’re not a Maynard local, this a destination sandwich shop.. put some tunes on the car radio and take a cruise out. While I was there I also bought homemade meatballs and marinated olives. I didn’t have room left for pastry.

After being bored with some of the sandwhich places in our town we ventured over to Maynard and honestly picked this place by random and it didn’t disappoint. The meat to bread ratio was perfect on the Italian. They had the staple sandwiches any Deli would have and then they have several others that were named after different people with their own spin on them. Plenty of parking when we were there in the early evening , and good location within walking distance to all the shops etc.We would def check them out again.
