We first came to the Fabled Farmer a year ago on our anniversary for lunch and had the wild rice soup. It was delicious and the service was great. So when we were planning what to do for our 25th wedding anniversary this year, Fabled Farmer lunch date was chosen.
I went in early to ask if I could set up a surprise for my husband and decorate a table for lunch. The person in charge was very accommodating, and even had her baker bake extra large carrot cake muffins for the occasion. I had the wild rice soup and signature salad. The salad was so fresh and delightful. My husband had a Thai lunch bowl and enjoyed it as well. The “cherry” on top was the carrot cake muffins. I highly recommend saving some room for dessert and treating yourself to a piece of carrot cake.

Hands down one of the best small local places I’ve eaten for breakfast! The food was excellent – truly top notch, the service was equally as wonderful. They were on top of everything, didn’t skip a beat. Incredibly pleasant and such a cute vibe inside too! I was there with my 4 girlfriends for a little girls getaway weekend and we were offered recommendations from the menu and even given a bakery item on the house when one of the 5 meals was just taking a little longer than the others. We certainly didn’t mind the food taking extra time as we were in no rush at all but it was really nice to feel so taken care of. This is a must stop every time I’ll be passing through Fergus in the future now, hands down cannot say enough good things!

High hopes exceeded!
Stopped by here on the way through town and could not be happier. The fresh pressed juice was delicious, the sweet potato bowl (I stole some bites from my husband) and breakfast sandwich were both hearty and clean, and my toddler (who can be bit picky) loved their kids farmer plate. The service was warm and beyond exceptional. The food and the check came out quickly and at the exact right time.
I hope The Fabled Farmer sticks around for a long time. It is exceptional.

Absolutely phenomenal! I was looking for a good breakfast and found one of the best I’ve ever had! Their omelette is packed with fresh zucchini, mushrooms, peppers and more – served with delicious potatoes plus toast with peanut butter and fresh jam. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Fergus Falls!

Amazing food. The food is such great quality and the presentation is wonderful. The staff were so delightful and genuine. Ive eaten here a couple times and I love their selection of freshly squeezed juice. I live out of town but always try and stop when im in Fergus. I recommend the Thai salad!

Nice little place! Good was fantastic and the juice bar was delightful. We had the Farmers special and the Omelette, both were divine. The eggs were delicious and light, dare I say perfectly cooked. The potatoes were awesome, lightly sautéed with a boat load of veggies and herbs. I got the sausage with mine, who could go wrong with sausage? And the water was a pleasant surprise, cucumber lemon at no extra charge! The waitress was pleasant, worth stopping by!

Cute spot with very kind, friendly people! The Sesame Salmon Bowl was fresh and light with sweet and tangy crunches. Great flavors and textures, I almost ordered an additional meal to go
For dessert I tried a FRESH oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, a peanut butter pie, and a glazed lemon poppy muffin. By tried I mean to say I inhaled them. So good
Also tried a juice who’s name escapes me but I think it had ginger and lemon/lemonade ♂️? Think it had a short 3 letter name? Anyways, it was light, tangy, and almost a little spicy with the ginger. Very fun drink.
100% will stop in again if I come back up this way.

Very Cute and Cozy atmosphere. I ordered the special of the day, Margarita Sliders with a brownie for dessert. They were amazing especially with the balsamic vinegar and pesto. The brownie reminded me of my grandmas very yummy homemade brownies. I would love to come back again sometime for Breakfast after overhearing other customers rave about it !
