saccharine grandeur; not sure if this even qualifies but i got the brownie à la mode through the scoop joint and.. yikes, the brownie was hella stale, crumbly, basic-bum chocolate but everything around it drowned the brownie in syrupy sweetness: gorgeous sugared walnuts, proper-decadent fudge, rich caramel, and a massive dollop of pumpkin ice cream, just wish the actual brownie was a proper brownie..

This place is amazing. The restaurant atmosphere is like a lounge. We sat near the bar where there were many tv’s with sports on. There is other seating without tv’s for a more intimate setting and a really nice patio area with plenty of seating. I would definitely suggest calling ahead for a reservation with parties 4 or more. We had 7 adults and 2 children. They have great appetizers but I really recommend a cheesy shrimp that you put on sourdough bread that was amazing. I also recommend the pretzel that you can dip in maple syrup. The entre i had was the Gatsby. On a French roll rib eye steak chunks with lettuce onion tomatoes and a wonderful Dijon mustard with seasoned French fries. Every raved about their main course as well, fajitas, meatloaf, and their specialty a juicy rib eye that looked like atleast 12 ounces. The staff was amazing the setting was wonderful and I would recommend to anyone as a date night spot or for a regular or special occasion group party. I am definitely going back and you should too!!

Cocktails and beer were really good. They have an extensive menu all around. The fried zucchini comes in large spears, which was nice, but the breading lacked flavor. Since they say they are known for their rib eye, we gave it a shot. For some reason, mine came out paper thin and already cut in strips for me. I didn’t understand that. My sister’s came out twice the size of mine, with tons of fat, and cooked medium well when asked for medium rare. Both didn’t have the flavor as expected by an establishment claiming they have the “best in town”. For the kids meal, my son’s hamburger bun was charred and my daughters chicken strips tasted like nothing. The halibut comes out with this country fried steak like white gravy poured over the top. It wasn’t bad, just…interesting. Our server, Cole misinformed us on so many things. He was wrong about what ice cream flavors they had, what fruit comes with the kids menu, the amount of togo boxes to bring out. Eh. It was enough strikes not to be a returning customer.

Cozy & casual! The food is plentiful & tasty. Fish & Chips was crunchy and not too greasy. The fish was a nice thick fillet. The tartar sauce was homemade & thick. The garlic peas flavorful & unique. Service was excellent and the dining area was fun & lively. Glad to have tried & will return for sure!

The service here during the holiday times were great! The food was spectacular! The aged ribeye was honestly one of the best steaks we have ever tried. The char on the steak, and the amount of flavor from each cut was to do for! Our Server was one of our main highlights too! She made sure we were well taken care of, and even gave us a suggestion on where to go for Christmas stuff afterwards! Thank you, April!

The evening started off with cocktails. The pours were strong and, if beer is your thing, they have an extensive menu. However, after drinks everything went downhill. The fried zucchini was good. They come in large, thick spears, but the breading on them didn’t have any flavor. Next the entrées. My kids ordered a hamburger meal and it came with an overcharred bun. The chicken strips were super bland and my daughter wanted fruit instead of fries. We asked our server, Cole, what fruit was in the fruit cup and he responded mellons and berries. When we got it, it was oranges, grapes, 2 cantaloupe, and some pineapple. They say they are known for their ribeye, but that is a joke. Mine was cut for me in strips for some reason and was paper thin. On the other hand, my sister’s was twice as large and thick, but really fatty. They both tasted nothing like I would expect a promoted item woukd taste. We also got the halibut. It was strange as well. It had some like country fried steak gravy coating the top of it. The whole place just wasn’t something we had in mind. When it came to ordering ice cream, again Cole gave us options. We ordered, and TWICE he came back saying they don’t have those flavors! He mentioned 4 flavors. I ended up going next door and looking at the flavors and they had 8! Also the togo boxes are really small so get more if you plan to tasha food home. Not a great experience, so we won’t be back.

First time eating there in 15 yrs, it’s changed! Great menu, portions were good sized, service was very good, probably the best hospitality I’ve had in years, and everyone was very friendly down to the busboys! Definitely will go again! We went on New Year’s Eve, it was packed, had a group of 20+ people next to us that said a prayer before eating! Solid group of people! Parking lot was full so had to park on the street, not a big deal

Absolutely delicious authentic South African food! Mixed in the menu are also several American dishes, so it allows the less adventurist diner to try some menu items while having the safety of ribeye steak, etc. Service level from Audrey was excellent. Give them a try and come hungry! It might be helpful if the menu highlighted the authentic South African dishes better.

It was a little cool out the Friday night when we ate in the outdoor section, and we sat in a spot in a corner which was exposed to the outside a bit. That didn’t stop us from eating at all; the party had ribeyes, tenderloin, mac and cheese and it was all excellent. They know how to cook steaks at the right doneness, which can be hard to find.
The place was packed, yet we only ended up waiting about 10 minutes. The bar area was really loud, but in the outdoor area, it was quiet. Definitely worth the trip.
