Open since 2010, The Dunes House is much improved since our last visit as the resort has a new executive chef (we will try Alexander’s again).
Greek salad was fresh and dressing house made. Fish tacos were abundant and tasty. Need a new spin on the Tostado chips and too thick salsa. Fish sandwich was fair and pricey at $17.
Nice outdoor patio area right off the beach along with an inside bar with tables.
Overall, great place to enjoy lunch and a cocktail.

An early lunch whilst over from England visiting my sister. Loads of room when we arrived. Full when we left. A very popular bar right on the beach. Complimentary jug of water to help hydrate us whilst we chose from the menu. Served our bratwurst and avocado BLT by a lovely guy. The food was well presented, hot and very tasty. Great location, great service and mighty fine food. We will be back.

Great spot for lunch! We ate before heading to the beach and it’s the perfect location being right on the beach! Beautiful views and not too hot. Casual spot so that’s nice with people coming in from off the beach. I got the shrimp tacos with chips and salsa and it was very good and refreshing! 7 people can comfortable fit around a table as well! Service was great and even the manage was clearing tables, talking to customers, and giving kids little treats. Highly recommend this spot!

We loved this place! We were so pleasantly surprised, right on the beach. Some of the most wonderful cafe scenery you’ll find on the island. You have to be staying in Palmetto Dunes to get there. So if you are not staying in palmetto dunes, you have to find a way to get past the gate guard! but it is so worth it. We went on a Wednesday evening and there was live music that really added to the atmosphere. BTW, food was wonderful! Better than you would expect from just a small beach cafe.

Pretty darn solid for a little beach side restaurant. We came on a hot weekday afternoon and some much needed water, drinks, and food. You can walk right up to it from the beach so the location is great.
I got the chicken quesadilla and it was loaded, I couldn’t finish it. House made chips too. The shrimp quesadilla and fish tacos were great too.

This crew is on point. I had a friend in town and we came up after playing golf. The food service and drinks were amazing

great place on the beach. we rode our bikes down the beach and stopped here. it was so nice that they bring you a pitcher of ice water. we must of hit it at the right time. as soon as lunch hit there was a long line. we had a great view from our table. our waiter checked on us several times. someone else brought our food out so you know it’s not sitting. the fresh fruit with your sandwich was nice and it was fresh.

I’ve been coming to the island for 6 years and always stop here and for 6 years it’s been consistently great. Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere and great staff. My personal go to is the grill chicken Caesar wrap, but I’ve had just about everything on the menu and it’s all good. They have live music regularly as well.

A small beach bar with a laid-back, authentic vibe — simple, cozy, and right by the water. The drink selection is modest, but it covers the essentials, and there’s a snack menu if you’re feeling peckish. I didn’t get a chance to try the food, so can’t comment on that — but the spot has a chill atmosphere that makes you want to stay a bit longer.

We absolutely loved our experience at the Dunes House!! Our waitress April was incredible – she checked on us consistently, was kind and funny, and made our experience what it was. The fish tacos are to die for! You get so much fish and the fish is so flavorful. The peel and eat shrimp are also 10/10. You can’t beat the prices for the location being right on the beach. We love the dunes house and consistently come back every time we are here!
