Hands down the Best meals, portions and service we had all week on Fire Island! The coconut shrimp and calamari apps were fantastic. The scallops, bone-in ribeye, eggplant entrees and all 3 desserts were phenomenal. Our waitress Christen and Holden gave perfect service. Highly recommend The Dunes!

Dined here for lunch on a weekday. There was no wait to get a table.
Food was very good. The Wings were tasty and meaty, while the Caesar Salad was a large portion. I will definitely be going back to try more of their menu.
It was nice to sit outside and watch the passersby.

A Fire Island local here. Went here for a mother daughter dinner date. We had a wonderful time! Our food was delicious, and our server, Olivia, was super sweet, attentive and accommodating. I have spent a lot of time in Central America, and the jerk chicken entree was delightful. My mom had the scallops and pineapple dish, which we both agreed was fantastic. We then recommended the scallops to all of the adjacent tables, all of whom thought they were amazing, too! Our drinks were also lovely. This new restaurant and menu are a breath of fresh air for Ocean Beach and we look forward to returning to try more dishes!

The lobster rolls tasted fishy yesterday and gave my partner food poisoning! It was a huge disappointment, especially after we had an absolutely delicious lobster roll there just last week. Also, the service felt so nonchalant … had to wait forever just to get water.

We had dined at the Dunes last October and enjoyed it so much, that we wanted to come back for Mother’s Day this past weekend. Our server, Jonathan, remembered us from months ago and was equally as friendly and attentive as last time. We couldn’t have asked for better service! The food was delicious again- this time, we got the NE Clam chowder, burrata salad, Halibut, corned beef Rueben and chocolate mouse cake. This will be our go-to restaurant for our future Ocean Beach dining as well!

We stopped in for apps and drinks. We had the best oyster Rockefeller I have ever had! Creamy and delicious! The shrimp cocktail was perfection, from the delicious sauce to the perfectly cooked giant shrimp. The pretzel app was excellent too! Loved the cheese dip and mustard. I give this chef a thumbs up!! Btw, Jessica the bartender is so good too. She made a perfect cosmo! Thank you guys. We will definitely be back!!

We stopped in this joint for date night. Let me tell you that Peter Foz (the owner) took great care of us. (FYI- don’t play darts with that man – your soul will be snatched away). Peter made us feel extra special with the seafood samplers and clams on the half shell. The baked clams were phenomenal! The man put chorizo in them! Who does that?! I personally do not like Oysters Rockefeller but these were exquisite! He uses sambuca and challots in his reduction sauce for them. You have to try them. Let me tell you about the Buffalo Cauliflower bites———DUDE! These taste like chicken and you cannot tell the difference and it’s so hard to feel bad eating a whole plate. The mussels in the white wine sauce were like a bowl of heaven in your mouth. The salads were refreshing and delightful for the healthy eaters. You felt like you were cheating but weren’t. The ambience was clean and nice – not a lot of kids and the drunken riff raff either. Definitely recommend coming here. They do breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night mid-rats (that’s military speak there).

It could have been a wrong place wrong time type of situation but we came here during the dinner rush on Saturday when the whole street was packed. It was a nice quick meal but initially was a short wait for a table. Atmosphere was very loud hard to talk with music blasting and the drinks were average.
Had piña coladas which were watery and probably made with a mix; enjoyed the calamari, buffalo cauliflower and summer salad which all were fresh and tasty. Service was pretty good as well so otherwise no complaints.

The food is absolutely exceptional. We had the Lobster Pescatore which was out of this world! The short ribs was phenomenal and the halibut and the scallops dinner were amazing! The restaurant did not disappoint!

The place is so dirty there was hair balls on the wall food and dust all over the floors.
My daughter who is 4 ordered a kids water we opened the cup and the water was tainted pink..
The short ribs dinner was tough and fatty not fall off the bone and tender..
The calamari had so much breading that we couldn’t taste that there was even fish under the breading
Service was slow, and the horse Flys were everywhere inside eating us alive.
