A black cup wakes the morning, warm and bold,
A burrito wrapped in comfort, simple, told.
Eggs, sausage, cheese—hot, made to order, true,
No substitutions—steady fuel for me and you.

The vibes here are off like super off. There’s one girl that is really nice she has pink hair and piercings – makes my coffee amazing every time and is very welcoming. Everyone else that I have had an experience with is kind of rude – they don’t want to have basic conversation, and when I went in today they were complaining about some manager in front of the customers. not a great look.

Where did they get the water for their nitro cold brew?! Bleh! This is the worse than any coffee I’ve had in the military. The people were nice and took my order with care but their coffee did not come close to tasty. I don’t think cream or sugar would have helped either.

A Drowsy Poet location that serves acai!☕️

I had been wanting to stop by this location to get a taste of their acai and get a coffee!

Atmosphere: The space has a variety of seating with the barista station taking up the left-hand side!
Service: The worker prepared my coffee and acai bowl quickly. I was the only one in the shop, but they had a line at the drive thru.
Menu items: I got an iced honey cinnamon almond milk latte, and it was the perfect level of sweetness (I don’t like it too sweet)! The acai bowl was what I was most excited for, and it did not disappoint. The blend was smooth, flavorful, and the perfect consistency topped my favorite toppings: banana, blueberries, and granola.

We have a few Drowsy Poet locations in town with their own take. This one is more drive thru focused and has an aesthetic exterior!

The service was friendly and very fast. The environment was welcoming and comfortable. They have plenty of places to sit inside.

The parking lot has ample spots and is easy to get in and out of.

We ordered two coffees and a bakery item. They warmed my bakery item and brought it over. Items are not baked fresh in-house but it was still good. The coffee was a little weak for me but I did order it with 1/4 the sweetener than the recipe calls for.

Prices were reasonable.

Our first visit- our Navy daughter’s suggestion. The people working the counter were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. We got a Poetchino- mocha- a latte (plain) and a cocochino along with a banana nut muffin and a cinnamon roll. The drinks were all very good- the Poetchinos were delightfully NOT over sweet like so many frozen drinks are now- and you could actually taste the coffee. Wonderful! The latte was a perfect combination of espresso and foam. Muffin was good- liked the funky chopped nuts on top instead of big chunks like most. The cinnamon roll was gooey and delicious and had a nice frosting on top that was sweet but not overpowering.
Overall a very nice visit and we will be back often when we are in town.

I have been to the Brent location and here but I frequent this spot due to proximity and mostly order from their drive-thru. This location is smaller and a bit more quaint, but you could still work here if you needed! If I had to choose between the two for a study/work spot, I’d go for the Brent location. Regardless, I’m always met with an employee that is kind and genuinely friendly!

My go-to drink is a 16oz Vanilla Poetchino with an extra shot of espresso. (Sometimes I get whip, sometimes I don’t. Depends on the mood) It’s blended to the CREAMIEST perfection – not too thick or too thin/icy. It’s sweet without sacrificing that delicious coffee flavor! I lose my mind in the car every time I take my first sip because it’s so consistently good.

I also highly recommend:
-16oz Caramel Poetchino w/extra espresso shot (Tad sweeter than the Vanilla, but nothing too overpowering! The coffee flavor is so yummy with the caramel.)
-Their blueberry muffins (Full of that classic Blueberry muffin flavor, moist, not too crumbly and not overly sweet like you find in a lot of pre-packaged muffins. Love their recipe)
-Their breakfast burritos (So flavorful, full of protein and cheesy. Also tasty with the Texas Pete hot sauce they give you)

The Drowsy Poet will always have my business! A must when in town
