The Dream Away is a special place. Great food, music, and cocktails can be found in this historic farmhouse located near the October Mountain State forest. We enjoyed strolling around the grounds before dinner. We had the crispy salmon, grilled pork tenderloin souvlaki and peach pie for dessert. Our entrees were delicious and the dessert was just okay. Waitress service was good, but we felt rushed. Before we finished our entrées, our waitress dropped off the dessert menu and said “no rush”. Then we were asked two more times while we were still eating if we had decided on dessert, again told “no rush”. Afterwards, we sat by the fire and listen to the live music. Overall, a great evening!

Absolutely love coming to the Dreamaway! So many memories here! Been coming here for over ten years and it never gets old! Eclectic, wonderful, love roaming around outside by the fire with a drink in hand. The place is so full of nostalgia and its energy is deeply embedded in and on its walls. Daniel, still greets each guest and always so great to charity him for a bit. Great menu, cocktails to die for and friendly staff to boot.

Drove 120 miles to come to this place.
Great atmosphere inside and outside.
Great staff, food was awesome. Music entertainment was a plus. Would drive here again. Place is a hidden gem.

The DJ and the music was amazing. The bar tender ruined it with poor service. My daughter’s and her friends requested some water and the bar tender was rude and initially refused to serve them. In the meantime my wife and I had ordered several drinks and spent a decent amount and even then her attitude was nasty. DJ was amazing if only they could replace the bartender because everything else was great.

Really cool spot! Amazing food and service, and a cozy atmosphere. They have some really unique décor and furniture in here, making for a very eclectic look. Our waitress told us a little about the history of this place. Lots of cool stories, and lots of character, def check it out!!

Wow, wow, wow! We’re new here to lee while two years new And we have been looking for a friendly, warm, inviting spot to eat drink and be mary. The dream away lodge covers all the bases! While it is off the beaten path, for us here in lee, it’s right next door. The service was great page are server was pleasant and helpful. The food was really good with a modest but creative menu. I had an odd drink request, but the bar accommodated me even with the small tweaks I added, and I enjoyed my drinks immensely.
There was a light Jazz band playing. The lucky 5.??? We’re told there from Great Barrington.
They had a New Orleans/ Honky Tonk feel to the music.
Five pieces with vocals and a female trombonus that was out of this world.
All and all the dream away. Lodge will become a new favorite for us. We look forward to returning sampling and experiencing this location again.

Hitting their stride. The new owners are delivering special treats and continually refining this magical place. Their new chef, Amillie, is knocking it out of the park with new culinary creations that are delicious and unique. I popped in to try first-hand her new menu and got to experience her daily special made with haddock and shrimp. It was a delightful treat on many levels. The food, service, entertainment, and atmosphere was top notch. I’m excited to go back and experience more.

Overpriced microwave dinner. $25 for two tiny pieces of chicken that’s falling apart and rice that’s been sitting out all day and hard. The history is a cool story and the cocktails are nice. Don’t come for dinner just a drink and to listen to music

Been coming here for years but tonight was kind of a debacle. They didn’t have a cocktail I wanted that they had in the online menu. (I’m allergic to wine so drink cocktails). Then they didn’t have ingredients for the next two cocktails I ordered off the print menu. I ended up drinking water. Finally, they brought my entree out long after my dining companions (and my entree was a bit skimpy too unlike my companions but what I had was tasty ). I think we had four or five different people staffing our table which was chaotic. Sad to see the service suffer so much. It was much better last year.
Updated: 8/31- this was my second not-good experience in a row. I so badly want Dream Away to succeed but it has not been good. This time I brought my son, his wife Ana a partner- they’d never been there. For the second time, service was slow and disorganized. For the second time, they didn’t have something on the menu (this time it was the crispy salmon which two people wanted; we were there at 7 pm). And 3 out of the five of us thought our food was mediocre; two of us had fish tacos and the fish didn’t taste fresh plus the sauce was too mild (and there wasn’t much of it); my daughter said her bean bowl was just okay.
I note that none of us ordered appetizers – just one soup of the day which was deemed “okay” – because none of them seem interesting.
I’ve loved Dream Away for years. We have a place in Becket and I really want Dream Away to be our go to place. But for now I will be going to some of the many good options in Lee instead. I hope Dream Away can get back on track.

Laid back atmosphere, make sure to make a reservation as it can get busy. I was told the burger was one of the best my boyfriend had. I also enjoyed the curry shrimp and crab salad. There’s also live music in the living room and a fire pit outside which we will be coming back to experience.
