My husband and I went on a road trip just to visit this play and it was definitely worth it ! Our server Renee was absolutely wonderful! She was so bubbly and upbeat , buzzing around making sure everyone was taken care of even though they were super busy ! I got the famous Italian Jumbot .. chefs kiss, and filling my husband got the Philly cheesesteak omelet and it was just as delicious, the steak was so yummy and very flavorful ! Definitely worth the drive! A must visit if you are in Pittsburgh!

Small place, quick, friendly service. Food was great. I had the Irish Benedict. Tasty Coffee. I visited at 1100 am on a Sunday, was seated immediately. Looks like it could get crowded quickly. It appeared on Guy Fieri’s show. Did not disappoint.

One of the best breakfast places we’ve tried in Pgh. Delicious stuff, big portions, friendly service. Just a bit crowded when we went on a Saturday.

One of my favorite brunch places to eat whenever I visit Pittsburgh. Their hotcakes are my personal favorite! perfectly fluffy, flavorful, and always hit the spot. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a slow brunch. The service is always warm and friendly. It’s definitely a must-visit spot every time I’m in town!

First time visit here.
My friend and I had high expectations but left underwhelmed unfortunately.
We ordered:
Alaskan eggs Benedict
Irish eggs Benedict
Side of potato pancakes
Side of grits

The Benedict dishes were disappointing. The eggs were on white toast instead of English muffins and instead of hollandaise sauce, they were covered in what appeared to be a cheese sauce.
The guys were fine and the potato pancakes were the highlight.
Service was great.
Portions were pretty big.
The decor and atmosphere were largely run of the mill.
I probably won’t be back, but I did see some orders of waffles and pancakes that looked good.

We’ve been going to this little spot for over 10 years. One of our favorite places to take out of town guests. This time was embarrassing as we hyped up everything about this spot and couldn’t be more disappointed in everything about our experience. I know all
Good tings must come to an end but I’m sure hoping this was a fluke situation. However, zero wait n Sunday morning tells me it could be a sign of the times!!
Food was dry. Server was not able to properly handle the work load. Had to repeatedly ask for items ordered. Drinks to be included. Ughhh.
We definitely were embarrassed to bring our friends to this spot.

I really used to love this place between the cozy diner atmosphere and the quality of the food, good pancakes, fresh potatoes, but since new owners took over the vibes of the place defentily changed and I hate to say I’m disappointed. I think if they kept the warm diner atmosphere, and didn’t make it look “trendy” and “new” it could’ve kept its character. It’s just sad to see a staple like Dorstop change so much, and honestly not for the better. I never had any major issues when visiting the new place, just lost its charm. And no more fresh hash browns which was always my favorite.

DoorDash Order: Overall experience wasn’t too bad. I would have liked to see more meat on the Reuben. There was a little more sauerkraut than meat. I also would’ve liked to see a whole pickle instead of sliced pickles. And the option to have mustard or a side of thousand island would’ve been nice to. I ordered cheese with my potatoes, but It was missing.

I also ordered the oatmeal apple Cinnamon, Banana walnut short. The taste was OK I would’ve preferred to have a side of sauce or syrup.

I will try again, but I would probably try something different
