I’m sad to report that The Donut Shoppe has closed for good. I ventured out at 5 AM on their last day open. This place is a Shoals icon and proof was in the fact that cars were lined up in the drive through for what looked like half a mile and those who decided to go inside were lined out the door. Thankfully, I went early before the crowd really hit. I ordered a bag of doughnut holes (my wife’s favorite) and got a dozen assorted (for myself). When I got to the register, I was embarrassed to realize I forgot my wallet but thankfully, after a bit of searching, I found my card info saved on my phone. The customer service at The Donut Shoppe was the best, as were the doughnuts. It really kind of sucks that they’re closed. I mean yeah, Krispy Kreme and Dunkin are good but they just don’t have that “locally owned, made the old fashioned way” goodness. Thank you, Donut Shoppe. You will be missed.

Best Donuts I had in a long time. Very fresh! The place itself looks very grungy inside and out. From outside the place looked like an abandoned building that had been closed for years. We almost drove away but then we saw a person inside. I liked the donuts a lot but didn’t buy as many as planned mainly because the look of the place, it turned me off. Place could look a lot more appealing with some clean fresh paint to make it look ore bright and cheerful, more inviting.

These are the best donuts in the Shoals area! Plus the employees are a joy to be around! The service is fast, courteous and you are served with a smile. Such a nice experience in a day and time when no one wants to work and many places treat you as a bother. That is NOT how you will be treated at the Donut Shoppe!!!

Not much to say, or in this case, type. They have very good homemade donuts. If you have a donut fetish , then I would definitely recommend the Donut Shop.
Also, the customer service is very, very good. The ladies are very nice, helpful, and very professional. Plus, it’s hard to go wrong, when the ladies are allowed to wear shorts.

I Go to the Donut Shoppe at least 1 or 2 times a week. Staff is always on point and super Friendly.
Food is always fresh and absolutely amazing in taste and quality.
I highly recommend this Donut Shoppe to everyone… especially if you love donuts, you just can’t go wrong.

My whole family love the Donut Shoppe. I guess it depends on how you like your donuts, these are not overly sweet like other places. My favorite is maple. My grandson loves the decorated donuts they change these with each holiday. Go visit them and find out.
