We were staying at ReTreet Resort and decided to come here for dinner, and honestly it was the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time. We have an 11-month-old who’s learning to eat and is so messy, but the staff was incredibly kind. We seriously felt like we were eating at a family member’s house… maybe even better lol.

Everyone in the restaurant came up to us and made us feel so special — it was just so lovely. They even brought her orange slices to snack on and told me not to worry about cleaning up her mess because they’d take care of it. That meant so much to me as a new mom who’s still figuring out how to eat out with a baby.

And the food was amazing… the shrimp was the best I’ve had around here. We can’t wait to go back and bring the rest of our family!

An incredible dinner at The Docks at Goose Pond on Lake Guntersville. An experience not just dinner!! Every single bite was delicious and amazing! The appetizers…grouper bites, fried green tomatoes, oysters on half shell, baked pimento cheese dip (who knew to bake it!) outstanding! Followed up with the star of the show – shrimp and grits…not your average…the absolute best I’ve ever tasted and I’ve tasted a lot!! Amazing actually! And the steaks looked amazing too! The owner/chef Mark and his mom Linda, who’s the hostess, were outstanding as was our server Brandy! Awesome creations of flavors that will make your taste buds very happy!! Plus a gorgeous view of Lake Guntersville with a sunset bonus! Highly recommend a visit for your dining pleasure!

Shrimp and grits! Sooooo good! We also got fried green tomatoes which were so tasty and the Hawaiian Ribeye was killer, super tender. Definitely one of my favorite places!

The food was delicious! We both had the Mahi, Jerk chicken wings appetizer was also so delicious!! Roasted veggies and grits are a must have! Will definitely be coming back! Band outside was a nice touch when we walked on the dock to see the sunset.

When I saw that the owner was the chef, I knew it had to be good. The gumbo and fish tacos were on point. I’d suggest reservations on the weekend. We got reservations but still had to wait. Probably because of “campers.” Industry term for people who sit at their tables long after they finish their meals and drinks. So rude when servers are trying to make money off tips.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cheers

We ordered the fried mushrooms and fried pickle appetizers, which were yummy. We happened to be there when they had live music. The band that played was Elderberry Wine, they were fantastic! Beautiful scenery, great staff, good food.

The Docks is amazing! Linda and her son were so kind, and the food was absolutely incredible. We had the shrimp and grits, steak, chicken, grouper fingers, and cheese fritters along with salads and bread/butter. On top of that, the views were breathtaking—perfect for a relaxing meal. I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

A beautiful, winding drive brought us to the entrance. Huge parking lot, but we had no problem getting in. The view over the water is calming, and as the sun dimmed and the deck lights brightened, we were transported to another place. Service was quick and friendly, the gumbo was fine, bit thin. I overheard the server telling another table that a fresh pot was almost ready-I got the bottom. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, and rosemary shrimps are genius-going to remember that.
All in all, a relaxing evening under the stars, with good conversation

Went here for the first time last night! Staff are super nice. I really liked the grouper fingers as an appetizer. Price for food is very reasonable and portions are plenty! The live music was great friends of ours and they did a great job! We really enjoyed our evening! We will for sure be back.

Got there right at 5:00. Hostess, waitress, and speed of food delivery was all great. The cream of spinach soup was amazing. Cheese fritters were great. The coconut shrimp didn’t actually have any coconut on it (small curly things in the picture are just splattered batter chunks). It was just batter fried. Ordered the prime rib. That was delicious but the sides were meh. I had the mashed potatoes and they were real but plain. I subbed out the vegetables for cheese grits but there wasn’t any cheese in the grits. It was just a lot of cracked pepper. We even asked our server if they were cheese grits. She said yes. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits bowl and loved it. But because the coconut shrimp and the cheese grits didn’t have any coconut or cheese, respectively, we had to take off one star. Would eat here again though. View was great and most food items were good.
