I recently visited the Dixie Grill at 101 Dowling Ave SE, in Live Oak, FL. I walked in and was quickly greeted and seated. I ordered the basic bacon, eggs, grits, and a delicious biscuit. It was well worth my visit there. It’s also home of a Pillsbury Bake champion and I will be back to try some of her baked goodies. Make this a stop when in the area

I’ve eaten here several times, and I think my only complaint is they give you too much food! Seriously, that’s not a complaint. I had breakfast here this morning, and it was delicious. Eggs over medium, sausage patties, grits, and potatoes with onions and peppers. The grits were fantastic, perhaps the best I’ve had anywhere. Also, try the coconut cream pie. My server was very attentive and nice as could be.

Traveling in the area stopped here for breakfast. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was great. Our table had country fried steal n eggs and veggies omelet with grits and pancake. Everything was great except the sausage gravy was not to our liking gravy lacked sausage in it. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was sausage gravy. Other than that, everything was great.

First time here, as we are camping close by. Amazing atmosphere, very friendly and refreshing service. And the food, very much was worth every penny. Loved the ice lattes, too. Will definitely be a stop any time we are back in Live Oak.

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Traditional cusine well executed, with that extra twist that makes it special!
Trisha was quick, efficient and friendly, despite the packed house.
We had the “Fletch”, and the Belly Buster. Great sausage, biscuits , and the unique waffle.

First time eating here & we’ll definitely be back! We went for breakfast & the menu has something for everyone. I was craving something sweet, so I got the cinnamon roll French toast. It comes with a ton of fresh strawberries, bananas, blueberries & fresh wipped cream. Others got the breakfast burger topped w/an egg & bacon. The avocado toast was good, as well as the grits, buttery biscuits & sausage patty. Our service was great & with a smile. She made sure we had everything we needed & kept the coffee coming. The bathrooms were nice and clean, also. I wish we would’ve had room for pie as they looked delicious! We’ll have to save that for next time.

Really good biscuits and gravy. The Fetch was well executed and very tasty and fresh. Halal French toast was okay, nothing special. Cinnamon Roll was dry and not fresh. Overall I would go back.

I had no idea this great restaurant is so close to home! Planning a visit back to Live Oak to explore the quaint downtown and eat at this fabulous place again. Both the smoked chicken and fried chicken are fantastic – big pieces and juicy! The sides taste like home cooking and the little salad bar was perfect with everything needed to make a great salad!

Amazing food. AMAZING coffee and espresso drinks. Big winner of award for these strawberry biscuit bites. Yummy!!! Our party had breakfast and lunch and it was all 5 stars. Would give more if we could. If we lived here, we would be regulars!
