Since this place has reopened, I’ve been here twice for lunch. The first time was the first week they were open and it was too chaotic. Now, with the initial growing pains over with, I figured I’d try a review.

I’ve been in here twice since the reopening. I stopped in during the evening just to check it out and have a drink. Cool game room with darts and arcade games. Good atmosphere, nice people.

I have wanted to love this place since it has opened under new ownership; however, we have gone to dine here around 7 times being disappointed. Unfortunately, the service is really slow here even when it is not busy. In addition, our drinks have been made wrong most times or they don’t know what our drink is. Another complaint is that two times we have ordered apps and not received them until after our dinner showed up. Tonight we got charged for our app after we asked where it was 10 min after our dinner came. The receipt said on the fly and I watched the server order it after we asked. We were not discounted or even asked if we wanted to cancel it. We also got charged an additional dollar for our app because we had it tossed in sauce even thought the menu says have it tossed in whatever sauce for the same price. The best part was the excuse of why it didn’t come out…. It was because brunch was so busy….. brunch ends at 2 pm. We ordered at 5:15. Not a good or valid excuse. According to atmosphere, I have been there on trivia and karaoke nights which is so loud. I understand people want to engage in these activities but it was so loud each time that we ended up boxing our food and leaving. In all, I would rather pay Uber eats prices and get the same quality of food then sit through poor service.

This bar has a loyal following for a reason. Anyone complaining about wait times is being unreasonable. I won’t lie, on opening night with an almost completely new crew and a bar packed more than I’ve ever seen before, service suffered. That’s normal for a grand opening. Having been a regular of the Dive when it was the Unofficial, I can promise you the service will get better. My wife and I went a few days after opening and service was significantly faster.

Honestly, I don’t know why people are hating on a wait at a just opened, newly owned establishment. Of course there will be kinks to figure out and a wait. We came opening night and the food was great, even for the limited menu. Went back a couple nights later and enjoyed beers and phenomenal wings on a weekend night and paid less than what you would pay at another local bar. Don’t be swayed by the tacky people complaining about a brand new staff because you’ll be missing out on a wonderful place. Love the staff and the fact that we have a dive bar back in St. Anthony.

Pretty decent change from what it used to be. Drinks were cold and the music was loud enough without being too much. The pizza was a tad undercooked but not so much it was worth complaining about. Server was helpful and courteous.

A great story: staff reclaiming a viable enterprise from a previous owner. So glad to see the great staff back. The place is a class-, over expectation- free space of honesty. Heard a new chef has been taken on. All good. Looking forward to hanging again.

I had been excited to go since they reopen. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed when I went on July 1st. I was looking forward to having a good burger. Will have to go again once they get the business up and running. Decent beer selection.

June 2023- offering a limited menu since they just opened. We went with family and ordered everything on the menu, and all of it was delicious. The standout faves were the quesadilla and the heatstroke burger. Oooo the fire sauce on the side was QUITE spicy! I can’t wait to watch this place grow!
