We also ventured off the happy hour menu for the Roasta Pasta and wow… easily one of our favorites here, was so rich and full of flavor!
The food was amazing as always, but what really stood out this time was the service. Our servers were super nice and attentive, making the whole experience extra enjoyable. We always leave happy, but happy hour just gave us another reason to keep coming back!
Food/Drink- 5 stars
Happy hour oysters- I was surprised by how fresh and delicious these were. Enjoyed every oyster from our dozen
Cheetos mac and cheese- I did like how they overloaded it with truffle oil. Nice order from their happy hour
fish and chips- I enjoyed how it was more fish than batter. Fries were nice and crispy with delicious cajun seasoning
pan roast- we ordered the (everything on it) variation from the entree menu. I read the reviews that the happy hour pan roast was a small portion without much protein in it, so just opted for the entree size. It was pretty standard. Enjoyed the 3 happy hour orders above more
Service- 5 stars
Food came out quickly and service was great throughout
Bottom Line
Excellent happy hour experience. Great seafood spot if you’re at the Irvine Spectrum
We shared-
8 freshly shucked oysters ($16)
House Specialty Pan Roast ($22)
Chowder Frots ($15)
2 glasses of HH House Chardonnay ($7/ea).
Service was great the entire time and they also have TVs if you want to catch a game/sporting event. Will definitely be back again!
Parking: This restaurant is located inside the Irvine Spectrum. Parking can be difficult. There’s free parking lots or free parking garage.
Ambiance/Environment: If you’re a Zillenial like me, you’ll love the music here. They play throwbacks from the 90s and early 2000s. The decor and vibes are on theme, vibrant & fun. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for all group sizes. The indoor area is really clean with the bar on the left.
Service: There were two female servers. I didn’t catch their names, but they were nice & efficient. We were checked on 2x for satisfaction and waters. Throughput was quick after ordering.
Foods:
1. Chicken & Waffles – This had 3 pieces of fried chicken: breast, wing, & drumstick. The wing didn’t have much meat in it, but the drumstick and breast were good. They were fried well and definitely crispy. The waffles were also cooked well. I poured the entire syrup all over the chicken & waffles. The syrup was sweet, but it paired deliciously with the chicken & waffles.
2. Crab Cake Bites – This dish was drenched in the sauce! There was a scoop of rice, topped with an egg, and surrounded by 6 crab cakes. Although the crab cakes were small, they were fulfilling. The sauce had a good consistency and was really flavorful.
3. Southern Moco Loco – Haven’t had this dish since I went to Hawaii last year, so I was really excited to try this. This was also drenched in the gravy. The gravy really made the dish! It was seasoned well and filled with flavors! I didn’t really care for the patty, but the spam and egg were good.
Pricing: Each dish was a good portion for one person and definitely fulfilling. Will have to come back to try their oysters, but highly recommend trying their new brunch menu!

my last experience at this restaurant was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. While the food here is undeniably good—fresh oysters and tasty dishes, but the service is shockingly poor, especially considering the high prices.
We’ve been regular customers since they opened , and we’ve always hoped the service would improve. Unfortunately, it’s only gotten worse. During our last visit, we spent over $200 and the service made us feel anything but welcome.
Here’s what happened: the server brought us the check three times—without us asking for it. First, we ordered oysters and wine, and before we could even settle in, a check was already on the table. When we mentioned that we wanted to order dinner, they brought us another check as soon as the entrees arrived. Then, when we ordered dessert, yet another server placed a check on the table even before they bring the dessert.
On top of that, the servers seem disengaged and unavailable. Every time we needed something—even something as simple as napkins or condiments—we had to search for someone to help us. This wasn’t a busy night, and it wasn’t anywhere close to closing time. There was only one other couple in the restaurant, and they had hours left before closing. Yet, the rushed and inattentive service made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
For the prices they charge, you’d expect five-star service, but instead, we left feeling unwelcome and frustrated. While the food is great, I can’t justify returning to a place where the service completely undermines the dining experience.
The dish with the crab roll and this soup have become among my favorites.
I enjoyed the oysters, which are small and not too salty.
We also tried a dish with a large crab, it looks very impressive and beautiful. I would suggest adding to the menu the option to have the crab cleaned and its meat extracted for an extra charge because doing it by hand is not very convenient and everything around gets messy somehow.
I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!
By the way, this place just opened recently, but there’s always a wait of at least 30 minutes. It has gained popularity very quickly!
